"The hostel is quite central, very close to the transport hub, but it's on the 'other' side of the sights.
Other reviews say that it's in a 'sketchy' area, this is true, there is a lot of graffiti around the hostel, but I personally saw no trouble at all, felt safe at all times.
The hostel itself was clean and welcoming from the outside.
Under my bed sheet there was blood, which was a bit unsettling, I didn't raise the issue, as I doubt anything could be done.
Some staff are helpful, some definitely are not, the night-time staff are moody, daytime were fine.
The roof top bar was closed, only open during the summer months apparently.
I personally felt the bar area needed a bit more atmosphere, it was never busy throughout my 4 nights there, I feel the hostel may have missed a trick there.
Overall, it was a good hostel, not perfect, but you get what you paid for. The rooms were tidy and well maintained. I had no issues with the 3 other strangers in my room.
Would I stay at this hostel again? Yes, as it was good value for money, in a central location, but certain staff definitely need to be more approachable and not loo .as though they will phone in sick the next day."
