Terrible hostel. The renovation is so poor. The ceiling is covered with yellow water stains. The shower in mixed dormitory not even equipped with shower curtain. I stayed in a room with 3 man and when taking shower is so confusing if anyone would open the door. The aircon is constantly on, and the guests don’t have aircon control to adjust the swing or temperature. The air flow was directed right on my upper bed. I asked to switch it off, the reception guy arrived with a remote control and said he wouldn’t switch off as other guests will feel no air circulation. But the window is also opened and you can’t close it. and it was only 19 degrees at night. Would be good to inform the guests about these in advance. On top of all, instead of nice apology or nice manner, the reception guy was rude and not willing to help.

The hotel is located quite near MTR. The room is a bit small but relatively clean. The toilet has reef and dry separation which is rare for hotels of this price range. The shower area is slippery so be careful and the shower is slow but this may be due to I am on the high floor. The sound insulation is not very good.

The airport bus (A29 I think) was a 2 minute walk from the hostel which is located 10 metres from a 7-eleven and has ground floor security and elevator access. Luggage storage is free and the building is very secure with elevator access to the doomed floors being accessible only by key card. Check-in at 15:00. There is a kitchen, though cutlery is not available (only to purchase, and likewise water). I booked at a very low advanced price, so I consider it good value, however, prices closer to the date of staying seems high for what you receive in return. I didn't think the staff were particularly welcoming or helpful and the place didn't really have any atmosphere. If you're briefly in HK and would rather atmosphere, this is not the place and so spending 5-10 more would likely get a much better experience. No real qualms as the rooms were clean, but for some, it would be rather dull.

Excellent location in that it is near alot of shops and restaurants. I liked how it has a place where guests can sit down and tables to do things. I like how it has a kitchen where guests can cook their own food and has filtered water where guests can fill their own bottles. Hotel was very fair about things that you can and cannot do. Room was very spacious considering how limited and small Hong Kong is. I was in room 1003 on the 10th floor. The only bad thing that I had to deal with at this place was this long term stay guests that was probably around his late 50's and early 60's that was behaving irrationally towards me when I was taking a shower by knocking on the door and using swear words saying I was taking too long when I just got in there and started. I only had to wash my hair and face which wasn't too long. It's not like he had to use the shower next after me and it's not his frekkin place. He must be dealing with a lot of personnel problems that's probably driving him nuts and causing him to become crazy and irrational like this. I know he's dealing with health problems because I overheard him talking to one of the workers when I was doing my own thing on my bed and he was talking about some operation he had to go through. I believe his religion was Catholic. Must be stressful for him having to deal with the high cost of living in Hong Kong.

Check in were not so good experience, no staff were there, tried to call the number, but no one pickup. Waited almost 30 minutes. Decided to went on for dinner nearby. Check in were fine after that when staff is back. Friendly staff. Location is walking distance to Temple Street and Kowloon. Lots of attraction n food selection nearby. Room were abit small, but understandable. Ok for 1 person stay. I will come back again for next trip stay. Thank you. 😊

Cheap and good. If I go to Hong Kong again, I will definitely stay here for sure!

Nice place and near to the Ya Ma Tei MTR..the staff also nice and its also clean

So now there are long termers in almost every room. Especially 8 bed mixed. It means the room will have too many things in there and people with late night or other habits. Making it so difficult to get a decent sleep. The staff at the front desk is absolutely basic. In the sense they are disinterested and I don't know if they are picked from mainland or they have become like that due to Hong Kong, but they lack customer service and language skills. It needs to improve. Some rooms require renovation and so many long term lodgers that look like homeless.

We are happy with triple room size and close to everything we want to go or do and a lot of restaurants around

Location is very good and near MTR station. Badly, the air conditioner seems like not cool enough.

We had a nice Trip. Our room was on the 22nd floor. The area was not the most clean one but it's in a good location and incredibly cheap.

This was a decent stay. It was around the national holidays so things were very busy. Somehow even with checkouts at 11am. The check in would only happen at 3pm. The lobby does get very busy then. In terms of the room it was good. Some of the staff were very helpful like vinny and that guy. Other than that very disinterested looking staff. Also, it's quite puzzling for some of them to not be able to speak English or understand well that too in Hong kong. Anywho, the lobby is a nice mix of homeless looking long terms lodgers and strange people. The room was good. A lot will depend on what kind of room mates you will get. That's a bit of a gamble. The location is fine and lots of eateries around. The prices are acceptable unless hiked around holidays. Because you still get the same thing. All in all it is a good option.

Pros: The staffs are very nice and helpful. They speak good English. The price is amazingly reasonable. The location is super nice and convenient to travel around or find something to eat. I feel safe as a solo woman traveling alone. I asked to upgrade the room to double bed, payed some extra. My room has a window, nice view. I like the size, it’s compact, only two steps you can get to the bed. Two clothe hangers. I only have backpack so it’s enough space for me to unpack. They have a hair dryer and towels for single room. But my room the hair dryer is not working. No toothbrush, no shower cap, no drinking water- but you can buy water from the checkin counter. Cons: The room is not squeaky clean. The bathroom has some mold on the sink and door but compared to the price and location… no problem at all. The window has a crack I guess? They put some tape over it. Don’t worry if you hear some weird cracking noise from the window during your stay. It’s just nothing. My door lock is not working on my first night- I sleep just like that— lol nothing happened. On the second night the staff came and checked (I didn’t tell the staff about broken door lock tho. They fixed it and it works fine on my second day. The air conditioning works fine but on my last day the water is coming out I have to put the towel on the floor. In conclusion: Worth your money for short stay. If you see it as a place to sleep. So worth it. If you’re finding hotel for perfect leisure, spend some more for somewhere else.
