Had unforgettable time at soorya resort and spa. They are welcoming us to the hotel and offer us some welcome drink. Front desk service 100% Executive chef he is very friendly. We had delicious food in there. Food quality 100% Food and beverage team also supper polite and if they have free time visit our table and check everything Service 100% Swimming Pool is clean. Overall Value for Money 1000% All staff 100% Location 1000..% Food and service 100% Security 100% Note:- there rooms sizes are very big. Nice balcony with stunting view. If you want to have a rest your busy life that is the only place you should go for it. Thanks again Sooriya all staff (Sorry for late review)

Sooriya is a wonderful place where you can enjoy the real views of Sri Lanka. In the morning you will be delighted by the sunrise over the ocean, and in the evening unforgettable sunsets. An excellent hotel for a quiet and peaceful holiday. You will have several beach formats at your disposal, with powerful rocks against which the waves crash and calm clean sand with palm trees. The hotel has its own large territory, very beautiful and cozy where it is pleasant to walk. A special word should be said about the staff, if Sooriya has a 4-star rating, then the politeness and willingness to help from the staff is simply 10 stars. They will make sure that your holiday becomes paradise. We spent a week and a half here and will return with magical impressions. I want to express special gratitude to the hotel managers for their help. Visit Sooriya, visit Sri Lanka!

It was super relaxed and memorable stay at Sooriya resort. Super clean and calm place located in awesome location with great views and good atmosphere. We got up stairs room as we requested which has breathtaking view and super clean as well as spacious. They have no much variety of foods but the foods are super delicious. They provided everything that I requested for my baby without any hesitation. Entire staff is very friendly and willing to help. I would like to special thanks to Mr Arosha who is the executive chef there and his entire crew. General manager is also friendly guy always with smile. Thank you very much for taking care of us for two days and make our stay more comfortable and memorable one. I will be definitely back in someday.

The hotel staff are super friendly and made our stay so perfect and comfortable. The hotel and room we stayed is very clean and has every amenity you could hope for including a gym and spa. Our room was very spacious with an amazing balcony view to the ocean. I had the best sleep in ages all because the room was so cosy. Would recommend this place to anyone wanting to enjoy this part of the world, especially if you want to watch turtles!

We had a wonderful and romantic stay here. Had a wonderful time watching the turtles swim from the beach. It was incredibly special. The hotel was incredible and their service was excellent. The reception helped us book a tour to go to rekawa beach at night to watch the turtles nest. Everyone went out of their way to make sure we were happy. The pool was lovely too and it was a great spot to relax and connect with nature. The pool boy (I forgot his name) is great! Always knew where to go at what time to see turtles.

I stayed at this hotel yesterday and the day before, and wow—what a fantastic experience! The check-in process was smooth and professional, and shortly after, we met Mr. Ahamed, who made our stay even more special. He handled everything exceptionally well and even offered us a free upgrade to a suite room, which was a wonderful surprise. His warm and friendly attitude made us feel right at home, and he also provided excellent recommendations for places to visit, perfectly tailored to our interests. The room was spotless, spacious, and incredibly cozy—a big shoutout to the housekeeping team for keeping everything flawless. The hotel’s facilities, including the pools and gym, were well-maintained and easily accessible. A special thanks to Ms. Kaveesha from the restaurant team—she was very friendly and attentive, ensuring we had a great dining experience. Mr. Ahamed also made our interaction with her even more enjoyable. The entire restaurant staff was welcoming, and the breakfast was consistently delicious. However, we noticed that the same breakfast items were served on both days, which made it less interesting. Dinner, on the other hand, had a nice variety of dishes. As a hotel and tourism advisor, my suggestion would be to introduce more variety in the breakfast menu to enhance the overall dining experience. 100/100would recommend this hotel to anyone! Already planning my next trip back—this place truly feels like a home away from home.

Me & my friends had the best time here - staff are fantastic, pool is wonderful, view is INCREDIBLE & we got to see turtles at the hotel beach! We would all highly recommend Sooriya to anybody wanting to visit the Sri Lankan south coast - enjoy your stay !!

They handled check-in like pros, cracked a few smiles, and made me feel right at home. Honestly, their vibe was so welcoming it stuck with me long after I left. The room? Spotless, spacious, and seriously cozy. Huge shoutout to the housekeeping team—they kept everything flawless. The whole place just worked: pools, gym, whatever you needed. And the restaurant? Don’t get me started. Every meal was a win, and the servers treated you like family. Oh, and major props to Moulana at the front desk. That guy’s a rockstar—went above and beyond for every little request. Need tips for local spots? He’s got you. Forgot your charger? He’ll track one down. His hustle and kindness totally made the trip better. 10/10 would recommend to anyone. Already planning my next trip back—this place feels like a home away from home.

The hotel staff was so kind and friendly especially Mr Prasanna, the manager who went above and beyond and helped in every possible way and a boy called Sachintha in the dinning room who was very kind and helpful. Overall, the hotel is a superb one with a breathtaking view of the sea and beach and I would recommend this to anyone . Ohh forgot about food , simple awesome

We had a delightful stay at Sooriya Resort & Spa in Tangalle during June 2024. The hotel is situated in a fantastic spot in the Rekawa area, offering stunning views as it is surrounded by the sea. The rocky beach area around the hotel is serene and perfect for a relaxing getaway. We especially enjoyed witnessing both sunrise and sunset right from our bed – truly a magical experience. The hotel staff were friendly and attentive, making our stay even more enjoyable. The rooms were quite spacious, providing a comfortable and pleasant atmosphere. It has a lovely pool area with a 4ft normal pool and a kids pool too. The food was fine. As vegetarians, we anyway have a limited selection in buffets, but we noticed there were quite a good variety of options for others in general. The presentation of the buffet area and the overall atmosphere could use some improvement to match the high standards set by the rest of the resort. However, this minor detail did not overshadow our wonderful experience, and mentioning it here as a suggestion. Additionally, hotel is kids-friendly, making it a great choice for families. We are already looking forward to a possible return in the future. We highly recommend this resort for anyone looking to unwind and enjoy the natural beauty of Tangalle.

Great hotel with friendly service and staff. We stayed two nights .Great sea view rooms and confortable .Dont worry about anything you can manage all the kind of day tours from the sooriya resort &spa.Hotel manager (Nadun) he helped us very much . The breakfast is a beautifully presented buffet with a very good choice. Hoppers, omelettes, western & Sri Lankan food. Also you can get the canoe boat experience too. I really recommend sooriya resort&Spa to anyone.

Perfect temperature even in the summer. Good escape from the Dubai heat. Compliments to all staff for making us feel really welcome. Unfortunately the days we stayed was busy days but the beach view was still spectacular. I wish if the hotel can accommodate only the in house guest around the resort as it was full with the walking people and outdoor parties and it’s disturbing for the calm and relaxation environment. I tried pan fried pork dish near to the pool bar, it was delicious. While serving food was cold, might because of wind. Stunning property with nice architecture.

Fantastic food with experienced chefs and bar staff, great staff all around - they were very friendly and accommodating, beautiful room, beach views are spectacular, we saw turtles at the beach, very nice pool area, and our massage in the spa was one of the best yet. Highly recommend and would love to come back!
