Buona Sera Inn

It's a really nice little, slow-paced place. It's entirely to be recommended. Inexpensive, clean, pretty relaxed altogether. Stayed there both headed down and back up to Palo Alto. Different room, both fine. No night desk, but good setup to get you into your room. Pleasant staff.

The person who checked us in was pleasant, but then tried to get political while watching a news program. I'm not interested in the owners political views, I just want to get a good nights' sleep. Upon entering the room we were hit with a very strong musty smell, like the room hadn't been opened up in quite a while. The furnishings are old but clean. The vertical blinds are so old they don't close properly so lots of light comes through. Even though the motel is right off a busy street there was little noise at night. There was no free breakfast, as the TripAdvisor ad states.

What a lovely experience! A clean and well-kept property with a very friendly staff! The lovely woman behind the front desk gave me a recommendation for some of the best food I’ve had on my trip. A great spot for solo travelers! Very safe! It has a higher ranking for a reason!

I booked early online. I called to confirm & ask a few questions. John ( owner) was very helpul. I had to extend my stay by one day. They gladly changed arrive & departure dates. I arrived. 3 hours earlier than expected. They had my room ready. I got settled in early which was very wonderful. I'm disabled & use two crutches to get around. The doorway entrance had a sturdy handrail. And John provided a shower chair for me to use. I was worried the bed might be uncomfortable for my hip problems. The mattress was dreamy soft, yet firm enough for support. Very nice precale sheets, fluffy soft colored towels. Nice toiletries for your shower. I brought my own groceries for the mini kitchen. Everything worked great. Parking right outside the door made unloading my groceries & luggage easy. ( EVEN ON CRUTCHES) Employees were very helpful, cheerful & friendly. I will continue to use this as my travel motel anytime I visit Grants Pass. It was very hot that weekend the air conditioner worked great. A bit noisy ( to be expected) but I didn't mind it at all. If your looking for a good price with a comfy bed & all you really need. It is like they say, like visiting Grandma.

We like staying at the Morning Glory Room, kitchenette, quiet. nice owners. Pass through, spending one night each trip. Parking in front of room. Ask when reserving about coffee , muffins and fruit for breakfast.

We had the Blue Moon Room (ironically, nothing blue in there to speak of). Adorable room, albeit a tad snug. Had a fridge, dishes, sink, wine glasses, etc. and a little table. Quite well-equipped that way. Seems that the walls are pretty thick here, could not hear our neighbours at all. We had a nice walk around the town from there that evening.
