Flamingo Gili Trawangan Pink Flamingo room

What a beautiful little hotel. Simple yet sweet, staff are just lovely and will always attend to any of your needs. Breakfast is simple but yummy and rooms are clean and comfortable. I would stay here again and again. Thank you for having myself and my friends last week.

I came across this boutique property in Gili Trawangan and loved the design, cozy-feel and its interiors (which are unique to each room). Their location is also brilliant, within walking distance to the main strip, and even shorter on a bicycle. However, what completely sold me on my stay here were the reviews regarding the excellent service. While I initially made a booking for 1 night, I ended up staying 7 nights only and only because of the staff. They surpassed all expectations and set the bar so high. Hendra, Febri, Yakub and everyone else are the biggest assets to the Flamingo Hotel and my stay would have been incomplete without all of them. They are always happy to interact with you and always go the extra mile, regardless of what it takes. For example, Febri so kindly helped take my luggage to the harbour as a kind gesture- not many hotels would do that! They would also create the most beautiful towel art- it was literally like artwork. I also had the pleasure of personally interacting with Hendra, Febri and Yakub because they would always be around to assist you and I would sometimes work in their cafe/lobby, so I got to spend time with them and hear their amazing stories, I learnt a lot about local culture and I don’t think I would have had that elsewhere. I will truly miss them, but they are my friends now and I can’t wait to be back. If you’re in Gili T and are looking for a place to stay, you can’t miss out on the Flamingo. It is truly a class apart!

Can't post a review on *********** for some reason, so leaving my review here! I had a wonderful experience with Flamingo during my short stay on Gili T. Rooms are spacious, clean, with very cold A/C. I also loved that you can refill your water with the kitchen. The breakfast is extremely generous, a choice of coffee or tea, a fresh fruit juice, toast and jam or PB, a main dish, and a fruit platter! Extremely value for money. The place only has a few rooms which I appreciated since it was quiet and there was practically no one using the pool. They also have loungers out for sunbathing. What really made my stay great though was the resort manager, Hendra, who always went above and beyond for his guests! From warm welcomes to helping me book my snorkeling trip (a really good, affordable tour company too!), Hendra would personally take care of each request even late at night. I really appreciated his friendliness and helpfulness. 10/10 would recommend to anyone looking for an unbeatable value stay on Gili T. One thing I will say is that the property is a short bike ride away from the main road and is not well lit at night, so best to bring a flashlight that you can either affix to your bike or your head. The roads are also dirt roads which get messy when it rains as they form big puddles of mud. What's nice is that there are restaurants on Gili T that will deliver food in case you don't want to go out at night.

Great hotel! Really enjoyed our stay at Flamingo Hotel. Super clean, lovely pool area and rooms, great breakfast and super useful main host (thank you)! You can hire bikes and book snorkel tours through hotel also. Would highlight that is a bit out of the way of the main strip (not too far, but about 15 min walk from centre) but very doable.

The flamingo hotel has a really nice aesthetic to it. The room and the balcony area was beautiful as was the pool area. We also hired bikes from the hotel and in the morning had fresh juice and tea. The hotel is a little out of the way of the main strip and beach but only takes about 5-10 minutes to walk and even quicker on a bike. We stayed here for 2 nights and that was the perfect length stay to enjoy this place.

We stayed here for 3 nights. We were warned by the staff that the electricity doesn’t work properly in the bathroom. The plugs kept jumping, most of the time we had no longer than 5-10 seconds of light in the bathroom. It is connected to the bedroom via a window, so with the bright, cheerless white light from the bedroom we managed. One night and day we had heavy rains, so the roof leaked at two places (droplets). We rented bikes at the hotel, which were okay. The pool was fine to swim in as well, looked good. There were no breakfast facilities and overall not an inviting lobby with staff. We saw them each day though, and they helped us however with calling a horse taxi on our way back to the harbor. Also, our room hasn’t been cleaned once, so no new towels for instance. The airconditioning worked properly. Overall our stay was OK and I believe proportionate to the price, but I would not necessarily recommend. The flaws could be attributed to a lack of tourism due to COVID.
