Rockside Beach Resort

Excellent,helpful staff.Beautiful location with the breeze through the palm trees the only noise you will hear. True Sri Lankan hospitality, peaceful yet only a short distance from the buzz of Bentota. Thank you to all the staff at Rockside.

It is not a four star resort property. The staff admitted that it is a 3 star resort. The room provided to us had leaking AC and the floor would get wet. It was pathetic. I have pics and given an opportunity will definitely post them. The reception looked like a OYO property. It was scorching 34 Celsius and there was no AC or fan at the reception. I regret having accepted the request of my son for going with Travel Triangle Travel Agency. It is surprising how Trip Adviser has rated them as Excellent property. The only best part of the hotel is that it is hardly 50 meters from the beach and has a good view. But can someone comprise the view with the uncomfortable rooms. Not recommended

I will start with the positives... this hotel is set on a beatiful beach with sun loungers and towels available to use for free of charge. It has stunning views from the room the rooms were large and spacious with large balcony with lush views . The shower room was large and shower worked well . Well cleaned daily if wanted by yourself . Now for the negatives ... this hotel is fat away from everything. The hotel advertised currency exchange which was not available so we actually had very little sri lankan cash on us as at end few days of holiday. Didn't even have enough for tuk or taxi to nearest bank or atm so kinda stuck there ( luckily able to pay everything in hotel via card at end of stay ) The breakfast provided was below standard and the fruits and cake were all left uncovered for flys to land on. The menu available for food to buy was limited and very expensive for food and drink but again no where close buy to walk to to eat out. The staff although friendly were very hard to communicate with even to order a drink During our stay the pool was at times unavailable to use due to works on the hotel we were not notified of this before our stay There are only 4 lounger by pool for medium sized hotel . This hotel has so much potential it needs a small shop as nothing close by...and drink and snack bar by the beach. fairly priced menu as so expensive. better breakfast options.

Me and my family stayed here on the last 4 days of our month long Sri Lankan adventure. All of the staff were very friendly and always did everything possible to make sure our Stay was as comfortable as possible. The food was great and the service was as well. Thanks for the great hospitality. I recommend this hotel.

During our week of staying here I saw very attentive professional friendly staff, every request and issue were solved in quickest right way. Kitchen is diverse, breakfast was 5+. High quality room and pool service on daily basis. Icing on the cake is a point on the coast, seaview from the balcony, just wow area you can reach with several steps. At last but not least is price, which is one of the most beneficial in Bentota. I wish I would come back here one day
