Fun secluded property with great cabins and cute animals. We stayed for our anniversary and enjoyed the seclusion and relaxed country living. The Llama is very friendly and always right around the corner. The 2 little donkeys are just so friendly and cute.

Stayed in the Sunshine Cabin. Enjoyed the privacy. Very nice and comfortable with great amenities. Excellent breakfast options, bottle of wine, and snacks. Highly recommend, but be aware it's about 20 minutes outside of Fredericksburg.

We can’t say enough wonderful things about this place, truly the most unique stay we’ve ever had! We loved feeding the animals (Lorenzo the llama, espresso & latte the donkeys, & cookie the cow!) Hot tip: buy extra treats for them, you’ll thank me later! :)

LOTS of personal touches. Very comfortable and secluded. Soft towels, robes, bed, and pillows. Having the choice of red or white wine in the complimentary wine would have been nice.

This place was admittedly a bit off the beaten path for my wife and I, but we were feeling adventurous and this one certainly paid off. The accommodations were wonderful, with plenty of free snacks, a comfy and cozy room, and plenty of entertainment with the on site animals. It was a nice little base camp to come back to each night after exploring all that this charming little area had to offer. We will definitely be returning to this cozy spot next time we are in the area!

This was our second stay at A Barn at the Quarry. We came for my husband's birthday this past year in May and then came to surprise and celebrate another friend's birthday in December of '22. We absolutely LOVE staying here. The hospitality, the thought put into the rooms to make them as comfortable as could be, the amazing breakfast sausages and cinnamon rolls, the peace and tranquility of the area (best enjoyed in the hot tub), all the nearby wineries and the absolutely adorable animals that come up to your door each day for breakfast, make A Barn at the Quarry a desired escape. I highly recommend staying here if you want to feel like you're getting away or perhaps just want a different experience and one that creates lasting memories, this is it! Don't get me wrong, we love wine and you'll see us at many wineries, but it is so great to come back to a peaceful and comfortable "home" after enjoying the days in Fredricksburg! If you're really contemplating booking your stay, I say JUST DO IT. You won't regret it.

Quiet, remote, a place to relax. We really enjoyed coffee on the patio and the hot tub in the evening. The room was very cozy, clean and very well supplied. Lots of personalized touches. Cannot wait to return. The breakfast was self service with many choices and very yummy. This place is off the beaten path but worth the drive. If you are are looking for “off the grid” but with Wi-Fi, you will love this place.

We booked the Sunshine cabin for our anniversary. We enjoyed sitting on the porch, drinking our coffee and looking at the country side. The donkeys and llama were adorable! The cabin was clean and comfortable. The food was delicious. The trip met all our expectations.

Wonderful, heavenly, just a great experience and stay. From the welcoming llama and donkeys to the charming patio and dark night sky, this place is way more than just a place to sleep! Rustic ambience - comfortable bed, excellent breakfast goodies with great coffee…I’ll be back for sure!
