Giulia Albergo Hotel

Such a warm welcome from the friendly staff… the room was spotless and comfortable ☺️The breakfast was delicious… lots of choice and the cakes were heavenly! I also highly recommend this hotel for its central location. Walking distance from the beach, shops and ancient sites.

I really enjoyed the stay at the Julia hotel, the owners were very kind and helpful, the room was spotless and the breakfast was excellent sitting on the terrace overlooking the sea ..many thanks for making my stay a great experience and the generosity was really appreciated

Beautiful building in central but quiet position with the kindest staff you could meet. We were in touch directly via email and booked a king size room on high floor with a ‘view’ - see photo. Strange seeing beautiful old ruins made into a car park? We also got a glimpse of the Adriatic. The bed was huge and comfortable. Great bathroom - all very clean. Very grateful we could check in a bit earlier. Enjoyed the breakfast - especially the coffee which the lovely barista woman called my ‘fire’ cappuccino because I stressed I love it extra hot (as well as strong)! All main staff spoke good English. We received great service throughout - especially the helpful woman at reception (so sorry I’ve forgotten names) who arranged for taxi to take us to Preza castle then continue on with our journey to Qerret (not exactly direct but we had time) for a reasonable fixed fee. She spoke with taxi driver and the owner of the apartment we were next attending to ensure all went smoothly and was at end of phone when taxi driver later rang her with query (he spoke English as well as we speak Albanian!) She also kindly changed a large bank note of local currency even giving us some popular euros as she didn’t have enough local currency on hand. Couldn’t do enough for us. We found Durres a bit underwhelming to be honest. Much smaller than we thought. Beaches don’t impress us Aussies - we travel for charm and character which Durres lacked in our view. Amphitheatre was ok. Other ruins were scattered among ugly buildings/busy roads. Go see for yourself. Don’t let us deter you - just our opinion. In any event this lovely hotel made our stay as pleasant as possible and we highly recommend it for the quality of its staff and the recently renovated beautiful building itself.

Excellent hotel highly recommend a stay there. Hotel is located on a very quiet side street just off the main shopping street. Staying here you are surrounded by coffee bars, restaurants, and a variety of shops. you are a few minutes walk from the centre of town and in the other direction about 15 minutes walk from the public beach with sun lounges and umbrellas you can purchase for the day if you prefer. The long boulevard beside the sea is a few minutes walk. The hotel is extremely clean and staff are present cleaning all the time. All the staff are very polite and helpful. Our afternoon flight was delayed until the evening, we asked if it was possible to check out later. Our room was booked but they gave us another room without hesitation for to use and relax in until 5pm. I cannot compliment the excellent service and professional attitude of the staff enough. We will definitely book this hotel again on another visit.

Hotel strapulito, cibo fresco strabuono, per intenderci prodotti che noi qui troviamo solo in montagna yogurt formaggi ecc ambiente rilassante e colazione che ho visto solo in posti a cinque stelle in giro per il mondo devo ringraziare la ragazza e il ragazzo al bancone che si prendevano cura dei clienti con molta professionalità e gentilezza, bravissimi

Ottimo hotel. Ottima posizione rispetto la via principale. Ottima colazione abbondante. Camere pulite e confortevoli Consiglio in caso di visita a Durazzo. Se dovete andare al mare serve prendere l auto ma c'è un parcheggio davanti a pagamento.
