It was an absolutely amazing experience. The views from the cabin were breathtaking. The staff was excellent and the place was very manged and maintained. Great food and amazing views made for a very memorable vacation. The deck had an outstanding view of the hills.

Very good environment and you can enjoy the beauty of the scene scenery with the very great view. You will get the fooding also like your home. But one most important note if you are in a group then only this place is very very great and one memorable lifetime experience you will get.

We had a wonderful 3 day retreat for a school reunion. This place is magical and a great location with well designed accommodation. The food and service were out of this world. Alka also organized little treks, campfire and went out of her way to make this reunion even more special. The accommodations were comfortable and well appointed . The library which we used as our Yoga Studio was extra special

I went to visit this delightful resort with a group of my girlfriends for relaxation, fun laughter and much more. Birdsong covers all the finer points that one would expect from a resort of great quality; clean, comfortable, warm and inviting. The resort is nestled in the arms of nature and has multiple hill points that offer stunning views. If you get up early enough you can experience the breathtaking sunrise and breathe in the fresh crisp air. The most enjoyable experience was the Games room, where we took part in playing Ludo on a giant board. I have never laughed so much in my life. It was relaxation, recreation, reflection and meditation all the way through. I and my group of Chatterati loved every moment of it and will look back with fond memories.

We stayed at Birdsong in October 2023. It is about 20 minutes drive down the mountain from Mirik. There are lovely views from the balcony over the trees and across the valley (rather misty when we were there, so we didn't get the full effect). The accommodation was comfortable and reasonably maintained. There was good wi-fi (hurray!) and a water filter system in the kitchen area which gave us more confidence to drink the water (we're European, so have to take care over what water we drink in India). We chose our meals off the menu (although we could have self-catered). The staff were accommodating but not particularly friendly - although that may just have been a language barrier. We walked into Mirik from Birdsong, and enjoyed visiting the Buddhist temple, and walking around the lake. A taxi was arranged for us to get to Bagdogra Airport. It was a clean, well kept car and a careful driver... a real treat! Pramod, the manager, was helpful and spoke good English. We only saw him once, though.

Birdsong is a magical place with a lot of greenery. We took the forest studio and loved it. There were sounds of birds chirping and squirrels gnawing and I spent a lot of time in the balcony overlooking the forest. There is also a lovely hiking trail near the property and we did that when it wasn’t raining. The forest studio is not for older couples as it has a lot of steps leading to the apartment and some of their other options are more easily accessible. The food was also simple but tasty - I loved the local pork curry and had many cups of steaming hot cups of chai which they make very well. They have a nice breakfast and cook good local food and snacks. Chinese food is not the way to go here. I would definitely go back and overall was a great experience. Pramod the manager was very helpful and he really took care of us. Highly recommend this place
