Hotel Riu Papayas - All Inclusive

Such a fantastic hotel! Just got back from a week here with my husband and two teens and can find very little to fault at all. Rooms were spacious, comfortable and clean. We were on 6th floor with pool/garden/sea views. Could be a little more sound proofed as you could hear the entertainment from inside the room and corridors could be a little loud when people were walking past but this didn’t disturb us too much. Pool is not huge but liked that it was split into two sections and inflatables could only be used down the one end. Meant you could swim in peace without worrying about being hit by a ball or dodging lilos etc! Pool area was kept really clean and always plenty of sun beds. Our kids tended to like the ones in the shade but we liked the sun terrace above the entertainment area as a proper sun trap! Pool towels are complimentary. Food and drink options were good with plenty of variety. We also went to both the Asian and Spanish restaurants that have to be booked in advance and both were really good. The hotel is in a good location, about a 15 minute walk to the beach (there’s also a free shuttle bus) and a short walk to plenty of other bars, restaurants etc if you do want a change of scenery. We also went to the Neon Party which is free of charge to go and was really good fun. The staff all work so hard and can’t do enough for you. I can’t recommend this hotel enough.

We were at Riu Papayas for 17 nights. It was our fourth visit. As always we had a great time and enjoyed the perfect service. We will certainly come back next year!

We booked a 2 bedroom family room. Got room # 709 on the top floor away from lifts as our request in advance. Nice pool view from hotel next door with super loud music from entertainment / activities during 12.00-22.30 everyday. I reckon you ask for high floor on inner garden side near Dunas Lounge Bar. A lot quieter. Our room and hotel public areas were nice and tidy. Everything in the room worked well but shower temperature was unstable. Could be boiling hot and freezing cold in a few second whole time I was in a shower. Burnt my back quite a few times. Hard to wash my long hair. Food at the main restaurant and Asian restaurant were incredibly lovely. We never had a bad meal. Some dishes were a little salty but not a big deal for us. Pepe' snack bar was fine. We loved self service drink station at all Riu. Great to have non smoking area at 24 Pool Bar and Dunas Lounge Bar tho. All staff were hard working and polite. Shout out to Daniel (pool bar), Mecedez (F&B main restaurant) and Guan (Asian restaurant). They were absolutely efficient and attentive. Guan even recognised me when I was outside the restaurant. She was so friendly and smiley. Hotel management should be noticed. Thumps up to all H/K, Gardeners and maintenance team. You guys make the hotel looks great 🥰 FYI: Free daily shuttle to beach 9.30-16.30
