Lovely new riad. Great experience. Great breakfast. Overlooking hillside. Had two rooms for family w two twin beds.beautiful city. Comfortable mattresses. Great service. Beautiful courtyard to enjoy your day. Lovely place to stay w fmaily

We were not supposed to stay here but got booked for one night because our reservation at another Riad was accidently cancelled. The room itself was just fair -- the bathroom door was supposed to slide but it stuck and we could hardly move it. Service was poor. Most staff ignored us. Dinner was a horrible experience as we waited almost two hours for our food despite begging to be given at least bread and water. About the only positive comment I can make is about location -- which was excellent, right outside the main square.

We had dinner at this riad while in the Blue City. It was disappointing. The view from the rooftop was great - just off the main square with a view of the old Kasbah, but that is where it ended. The food was ok, nothing great. A lot of bones in the tangine (more than most places). While not the riad's doing, the young couple beside us proceeded to watch videos on their phones the whole meal with the volume turned right up for the entire restaurant to enjoy. Even after we asked them to turn them down, they continued to do it. Then after the table on the other side of us left, they didn't clear it for quite some time. It became dinner for a stray cat who actually climbed on top of the table and ate off the plates. Made us wonder what had eaten off our table and plates previously. We would not return to this restaurant.

Riad Hicham is pretty easy to find, directly situated along the cities main square. You enter the Riad via the entrance of the Restaurant Hicham, which makes that both employees, restaurant guests and riad guests are entering along a narrow staircase. The surroundings inside Hicham are a little like a maze, but not in an annoying way. We had a junior suite. Considering the fact that we had a suite, the room was pretty small. All the facilities were there (couch, tv, bed, bathroom, airco) but it was all packed into a very narrow space. No outside view and being within the environment of restaurant and riad, a little noisy at times, although we slept very well both nights. The riad personell were very sweet and accomodating. The restaurant personell however, were hasty and felt uninterested. In 2 of 3 instances, sloppy even. 1 time waiting a very long time for the bill and a second time, an 8am breakfast start only starting around 8:10 with a yawning waiter taking our order and bringing the wrong order the first time. Overall, location was great, spaciousness felt small and the combo of riad and restaurant in the same environment gave the experience a lack of the feeling of rest and serenity when coming back to your riad.

Superb location, right next to Plaza Uta El Hammam and the winding souks. Wonderful, accomodating service. Everything is very clean & well-taken care of, they are proud of their Riad and it shows!The Riad is multiple levels, interesting and varied rooms. Several balcony terraces with great views. Very comfortable, nice bathrooms. We enjoyed traditional Morrocan breakfast and had a great day: made it all the way up to Spanish Mosque for amazing views.

This Riad was a highlight, a labyrinth of hallways and terraces reminded me of the crazy streets of the Medina. The staff were amazing and the food was great. The view of the Center square at night was the best you can get. The rooms were very spacious and comfortable. The wifi didn’t work in my room and the doors on the cupboard were broken but the shower temperature and pressure was good, breakfast was tasty and filling and the rooms had good aircon.

The hotel is very nice, located right in the Main square and inside the medina. There are quite a few stairs to go in and out. There is a restaurant as well. The breakfast is very good. The room that I stayed in was beautiful. Very nice decoration. Very good location as well. Dinner at the hotel is great because you can see the city lights from the roof top.

Would happily stay here again. Stay were very friendly and accommodating. They were happy for us to bring our own alcohol to enjoy before and during dinner, which they served to us in the rooftop. Great views. Note that there were lots of stairs. Great central location.

Riad Hicham is just beautiful. Our room had a large, very comfortable double bed plus another single bed, which we used for our suitcases (so that he didn’t have to bend to the floor!). It also had a lounge in an entrance area, and a good-sized bathroom. Outside our door was a terrace with lounge chairs and a coffee table and a magnificent view of the town. From our room we could see the gorgeous main plaza (a one minute walk away) and the medieval Kasbah, which was a highlight. The staff were incredibly polite, positive and kind, and even carried our suitcases up the stairs for us! We ate both breakfast and lunch in the road’s restaurant, and both meals were very generous, delicious, and excellent value for money. We highly recommend Riad Hicham to anyone who wants a perfect stay in Chefchouen.
