Welcome to Hickory Pines Lodge, a charming cabin perched high in the hills of Lake Arrowhead. Inside the residence you’ll find vintage collections and casual, camp-style decorating that will take you back to a simpler time. The large deck and spacious living spaces make this a perfect destination for your vacation getaway. Amenities include a full kitchen, washer/dryer and baby gear which makes it a very family friendly locale. Enjoy a BBQ on the deck in the summer and sledding in the winter. Lake Access: Yes! Our guests have access to the lake and trails! See below for more details!The cabin accommodates a max of 8 adults, not including children. We provide a Pack N' Play, if there are more infants you will need to bring extra equipment. 9 people total (Infants do not count). We recommend bringing your own bedding for the Pack N' Play. Ours comes with a mattress and sheets so your baby will be comfortable. Please reach out to me during your stay if you will be using our Pack N' Play so I can send you a how to video on how to set it up. We are a pet friendly cabin. We require our guests to disclose this before your stay. Guests who bring pets will be charged an additional cleaning fee. If you bring a dog without disclosing you will still be charged the cleaning fee. Guests must pick up after their dog and discard waste properly. Please make sure your pets are house trained as well. Our deck has a retractable baby gate so your pet is free to roam safely. We also have doggy bowls so you don't need to bring your own. No more than two pets allowed in the cabin. Please be advised that our cleaners charge an extra $75 fee for (1) pet and $100.00 for (2). Please note our cabin is an A frame cabin. Due to high ceilings our top floor may take time to cool down in the summer and warm up in the winter. We have central air conditioning and heating in the cabin. In addition we have provided fans in each room for those warm summer nights, and lots of blankets and space heaters in the winter. BBQing is only permitted in the designated BBQ provided by our cabin! Please leave your own BBQ'S at home. We do not allow personal BBQ's as it is a liability. Our fireplace is wood-burning, firewood can be purchased from the local grocery stores, there is no gas hook up to our fireplace so you will need a fire starter. Duraflame logs are perfect and can do the trick.Check out our new gas burning fire pit, lined with fire proof lava rocks. All you need is a lighter and you're ready to roast marshmallows by the fire. Please note you will NOT need fire wood for this. It is FORBIDDEN by San Bernardino county to have a real burning wood fire in the forest, which is why we have provided a gas fire pit. The county is VERY vigilant and fines can exceed to more than $20,000. We will not be liable if you light the forest on fire. DO NOT leave your children unattended by the fire. Adult supervision (18+) is required at all times. In the event of stormy/snowy weather, guests are advised to have AWD or 4 Wheel drive vehicles and carry chains or cables. We advise our guests to get Ice Melt from the local grocery store. Jensens is located down the street, and or Stater Brothers in The Village. The Ice Melt will help you incase of a snowstorm so you can get out of the driveway. We do have snow shovels and windshield scrapers, on the property for you to use as well located in the Build Up. We have sleds and snow toys available to our guests, no need to bring your own.This is the perfect cabin for all ages to include kids. We have included outdoor swings for infants and kids, highchairs, stroller, booster seats, kiddie plates and utensils! Our deck has a baby proofing gate as well.Guests will be able to access the entire property, with the exception of some storage located in our Build Up. Please note- ONE Car may be parked at the top of the property. Loading and unloading is fine. We have additional parking spaces located in the half circle driveway at the bottom of the property. We ask our guests to park multiple cars at the bottom of the property. Electric vehicles: There are charging stations available in the Lake Arrowhead Village. If you do charge your vehicle at the property, please expect that we will charge an additional 30.00 fee to your reservation.Our cabin is close to nature and is no stranger to cute critters! We are visited frequently by foxes, squirrels, and deer oh my! Please note be BEAR AWARE. Do not leave ANY food items in your car!Our cabin is ideal for large groups. Looking to travel with multiple groups (15+) our neighbor across the street has a cabin available as well. To book both cabins send me an inquiry happy to coordinate large stays! We are also in prime location to other shops, restaurants, and places of interest.Lake Rights:The group that manages the two beaches and trails around the lake (Arrowhead Lake Association) has set ridiculous new rules for short-term renters. The new process is convoluted and overly complicated, and will cost money, but is better than nothing (access had been blocked for almost 2 years!). Please note the beach that you will access is not the beach clubs, but swimming areas that STR guests are allowed to access. If you’d like to visit local beaches or hike trails around the lake, please let us know by following these steps:1. Send us names and email addresses of anyone over 18 who would like to visit the beaches or hike the trails during your stay. We will pre-register you with the ALA office. If you forgot to tell us or left someone off the list, don’t worry; you can add everyone later. Kids don’t need to register but will still need a wristband (see below).2. When you’re ready to hit the beach or trails, visit the ALA Client Services office to process registrations. The office is located at 870 State Highway 173, Lake Arrowhead CA. The office hours are 7 days per week from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. 3. Anyone 18 or older must show photo ID and sign the ALA safety rules and waiver document. If you forgot to tell us about someone before, this is when you can register them.4. Everyone registered must wear a wristband available for 1-day, 3-day or 7-day periods for $10 per day per person. Children under 18 years of age will be issued free wristbands for the same periods of time as the accompanying adults.I will send you specific instructions for parking and gate access as well.We’re sorry about all this fuss and are working to simplify the process, but for now this is the only way to visit Lake Arrowhead beaches and trails. The property has two flat parking spots to the side (left of the cabin), and two additional spots in the front. Pets are welcomed on the property. The cabin includes an adjacent lot/forest (to the right) that is perfect for your dogs to stretch out. The Oso A-Frame is conveniently located near everything that Lake Arrowhead has to offer. Our lovely cabin has been thoughtfully decorated to give you a real mountain experience. Wood panel walls, open beam ceilings, and decor featuring a snow/fishing theme all comes together to create a relaxing, natural feeling that will wash away all your troubles and cares. With a neighbor on only one side, you will have wonderful forest views from all rooms in the cabin. Enjoy watching the birds play among the branches from the deck, or from the warm and cozy living room. Wake up to sunlight softly filtering through the trees right outside your bedroom window. As the snow melts, the ravine behind the cabin transforms into a babbling brook, where the deer come to sip the fresh cool water. 2 Bedrooms. Sleeps 5-6. One bedroom with California King (sleeps 2). One bedroom with Queen (sleeps 2). Shared full bath downstairs, including bathtub (great for bathing children, or taking a hot bubble bath after a long day of hiking or skiing). Large comfortable sofa will easily sleep 1 adult, but can accommodate 2 if you push the ottoman against the sofa. Or, move the ottoman away and sleep 2-3 on the floor in sleeping bags (not provided). Kitchen is well-stocked with pots and pans, bakeware, cooking utensils, mixing bowls, dishes, and flatware. Appliances include toaster oven, coffee pot, Crockpot, and electric hand mixer. Plenty of counter space. Long bar attached to counter for eating or serving family-style meals. Large dining room table comfortably seats 6, and also has 2 removable leaves to extend capacity. (Only 6 dining chairs provided, but adding leaves will give more elbow room) We offer a free and fast wi-fi connection that works great for checking email, streaming movies, or playing games on your personal electronic device. Living room has large wifi-enabeled flat screen television with a small selection of DVDs, including popular movies and Disney classics.
