Welcome to the Bear cabin! this small A-Frame is 8x12 feet but is configured to be comfortable and have all the essentials you need for a cozy, glamping experience. there is a full sized bed and a roll out bed. There's a kitchenette that's fully stocked with pots, pans, utensils, cooking oil, salt & pepper and more. We also provide coffee & tea fixings as well.There is a private outhouse pit toilet with water & soap for hand washing provided. There is a small solar setup up for charging small like phones and tablets, but it's limited for sunny days.there is NO running water - we provide clean drinking & washing water, but there are no showers. You can pay $5 for a shower at the Vitus gas station or RV Park just a couple miles up the road. They also have laundry.There is a little outdoor area with a hammock, fire pit and camp chairs.The cabin is heated with a propane heater and we provide extra blankets for chilly nights. this stay is best for 2, but can accommodate a 3rd person. if you have a bigger group, ask us about our 2 other rentals!There are other guests usually on property so expect to see others, but you will still have plenty of privacy. This rental is Located at the home of Wildthingz Dog Mushing, professional sled dog team of Iditarod and Yukon Quest musher Richie Beattie and wife Emily Rosenblatt. We live with our 37 Alaskan Huskies and offer a summer sled dog tour. Ask us for details - we offer 20% off for our rental guests! well behaved dogs are welcome, but must be leashed at all times and notify us if you're bringing a dog please! The property is 30 minutes from Denali National Park, a perfect distance from the activities and trails you may be interested in exploring while getting out of the busier hub of tourism.You must have a vehicle to stay here. There is no public transportation, Lyft or Uber in the area so we recommend arranging a rental in anchorage/Fairbanks before arriving. This private wooded property, boasting an "off the grid" driveway and plenty of wildlife, is walking distance to Otto Lake. This unique cabin is one of two cabins on our 8 acre property. Enjoy great fishing, swimming, and other water activities or stop at Black Diamond Resort for tundra golf, horse pulled wagon rides, ATV excursions, or fine dining.Our quaint town of Healy is the home to several unique dining experiences, an amazing coffee spot, local brewery, and so much more. Down the heart of the community is the Parks Highway, which takes you to an outdoor adventure at Denali National Park less than 15 minutes away.The authentic Alaskan cabin has an open great room, with a queen hide-a-bed, a futon, and a built-in dining area. There is a queen blow-up mattress available that is able to sleep two guests in this area. The sitting room, with a twin day bed and an additional twin mattress, opens to a private patio. Up a steep stairs, which adds to the experience, leads to the loft bedroom. The loft has a comfortable full bed, a futon, exhilarating views, and additional amenities. The kitchen is full service, with fridge, sink, microwave and stove. Off the main entrance deck, the mountain views are beyond description. The bathroom offers a sink, a water conservation shower, and a waterless Separett toilet. However, for those truly desiring the full Alaskan experience, there is an “elite” outhouse out back as well. Our little cabin is nestled among the trees but not far from all the conveniences of town. Located 13 miles north of the Denali National Park entrance and only 2 miles from the grocery store, local restaurants, bank and gas stations. Come home to the peaceful cabin after a long day in the park and relax on the spacious deck while listening to the birds or soaking in the mountain views. The kitchen has all of the necessary items to cook up a home-cooked meal and is fully furnished with a stove, microwave, toaster and full size refrigerator. A BBQ grill is also available if you prefer to grill outside on the deck. The cabin is small (600sq ft) but well laid out for a family. With a queen bedroom, a set of bunk beds and a sofa sleeper that can accommodate 5-6 people. Clean, newly renovated bathroom includes rain shower head, new vanity with large mirror. Amenities include fully equipped kitchen with pots, pans and dishes, microwave, coffee maker & filters, oven, refrigerator, propane grill, and streaming WiFi. Depending on the time of year you visit, don't be surprised if you wake to a moose and her calf in the yard.
