Villa Roma Resort and Conference Center

I went to Villa Roma with a travel group. The food was EXCELLENT. The food servers were EXCELLENT... especially ANDREA and BENJI. The room was adequate with everything I needed for my stay but the furniture is old. There was a lot to do. The resort needs updating and a cosmetic "facelift." Overall I recommend this place.

We love Villa Roma! Especially Doc and Joy. They help to make lasting memories for our family for 10+ years. Nightly shows, bingo, swimming, duck races, turtle races, kids horse racing and more. Great food, friendly staff, beautiful views.

This was literally the most disgusting place that I have ever stayed. I am outraged that I exchanged my Disney Vacation Club points for this hole. To begin, the carpet in our room was soaking wet on my side because the air conditioner leaked. We reported it twice and NOTHING WAS DONE. This made the room smell like mold. Secondly, the condition of the stairs outside the building and the outside of the building were terrible. Our toilet was permanently stained on the seat and the wallpaper was falling off the bathroom wall. The bathroom door had to be shoved in order to open or close and it was falling apart. The faucet in the tub leaked / dripped. Lastly, our TV picture had a big black line through it - which was the least of my concerns. Let me tell you that when I think of staying where we stayed, I feel physically ill. The entire resort is outdated as a whole, but our room was just disgusting beyond words. I have contacted Villa Roma via FB and they have chosen to ignore me. RUN - RUN FAR AWAY AS FAST AS YOU CAN!

My wife and I stayed 3 days at Villa Roma Resort. For 2 of those days we had the experience of participating in an hour long Aquapower Class with Susan. We had a vigorous exercise while having a lot of fun in the water. Susan knows how to get us to take advantage of the gentle resistance of the movement of our bodies through the water. She doesn't just do regular aerobics in the water, but uses specific routines to optimize the benefits of buoyancy and drag to obtain an excellent muscle workout. We would go back to Villa Roma just for the opportunity to take Susan's classes.

Our group was pleased with Blake's service. She was friendly, outgoing, and good at interacting with others a real people person. So many people started to come when she was closing but Blake continued to take orders and make everyone happy. She could make a variety of drinks including a woo woo. That was impressive because not many people have heard of this drink. We enjoyed our time with her. We tried to meet up with her over the next two days but it didn't work out. Please keep her she's a real gem.

Every morning we went into the indoor swimming pool and then to the separate room where the hot tub/jacuzzi was. Clean. Excellent. For added pleasure I attended one of the aquatic classes, for which was well attended. The pool towels were plentiful and huge. The lounge chairs and regular chairs were very comfortable and plentiful.

Benji and Andrea, our waitstaff were the best. They made each meal so much fun and enjoyable. The meals were exceptional, The lite lunch was a meal and the dinner was enough for two. Loved the hot tub and pool. The bartenders were very friendly, I wish I would have gotten all their names for this review, the only one I remember is Brittany.

This is a tough review to write because despite the bad things (and there were plenty), I still have an overall positive feeling after my weekend at Villa Roma. It was fun. They have great grounds - swimming pool with water slides, bumper boats, go carts, bouncy houses, etc. It's awesome for kids. The back 9 on the golf course was excellent. 17 is a very pretty hole. (The front 9 though, both the condition and course layout were wonky - way too many blind shots for me on the front and no GPS on the carts to guide you). One waiter in the restaurant was exceptionally friendly and great. The lifeguards by the pool were friendly, the bingo and dice game emcees were fun and brought good energy to the place. But, there's so much wrong with this place too. The rooms are big, but they're terribly dated. The beds are very springy and feel low quality. Walls are incredibly thin - can hear your neighbor and/or people in the hallway. The staff seemed tired and we felt like so many didn't want to be there. We arrived before the room was ready - was told to leave our stuff in the car - there's no bell service, they won't call you when your room is ready, just check back with them later. The food was ample, but so much tasted like it's pre-packaged. I believe maybe the entrees are made in house - I don't think they make the desserts at all. The nighttime entertainment is difficult because the crowd is such a mixed bag (mainly elderly at the night shows), and it's one act per night that has to suit the whole crowd. I think both performers we saw did a good job, but it has to be among the worst rooms to play in. It all feels intentional - I'd guess they already know these things. They could go higher end (or at the very least, make the rooms a bit more comfortable), they certainly don't have to. They do great business in the summer. They have this nice proximity to NYC. It all works. It all could be better, nearly everything there could be better. But it's good enough and it was fun, so take from this what you wish.

I was on a bus trip from Cape May County, NJ. It was so exhilarating to be up in the fresh mountain air. This place is huge and amazing. The all-inclusive feature made it so much more fun! The food was great! It was made even better by our wait staff. I need to mention Benji and Andrea. They learned our names and provided excellent service as well as comic relief. I can't wait to go back! The shows were good also including the Bee Gee's type group and the comic.
