Checked in Thursday and here until Monday. Lovely accommodation, day time reception great and so helpful however, the night staff Kaki, absolutely terrible. We are here for a wedding at the weekend, spent the evening with family In Lafranc and had trouble getting a taxi. Called the hotel SEVERAL TIMES only to be hung up by Kaki EACH TIME! Asked the manager in a hotel in Lafranc to speak to Kaki as I felt perhaps the language barrier was a problem, Kaki told Lafranc manager taxi was ordered and would be ten minutes. It never showed. We walked the 30 mins back to the hotel to find Kaki chilling on the couch. Confronted him and asked him what happened, he said he called for a taxi but no answer, I asked why tell us it would be 10 mins when that was clearly a lie and he shrugged. Absolutely not good enough. Regardless if it's end of season or full season, each guest should be treated with respect and assisted.

We obviously love it here. Great to see familiar staff faces and meet new ones. This place has a special but almost unquantifiable atmosphere and old world charm. Eating on the terrace, especially the very reasonable Saturday buffet is splendid. Pool and surroundings relaxed ; rooms charming and well air-conditioned. Welcome addition of fridges. Could we have a bit more storage please? We will return!

We loved sitting on our balcony, which had sea views as well as overlooking the town. The alfresco dining (breakfast and dinner (set menu) were and very tasty. The pool area offers sun and shade and a separate kids area and hot tub. You can also get a massage poolside. The room was generously sized and the air conditioning was up to the task. We had a very comfortable bed. There was also plenty of storage space and room for our two large suitcases. The hotel is walking distance to beaches, bars and restaurants. Our only complaint was that the shower was over a deepish spa bath; personally we’re not fans of that arrangement.

Having decided where we visiting, it was what hotel to stay in. We chose Garbi are in hindsight we were right. Sea view room was a good size , but needed the bedside units to be much bigger , to enable clothe storage. Staying a week we found storage limited. And tills? When you bought a drink, at the inside or outside bar, there were no tills. The staff member had to walk to the rear of the dining room to the only till. Big plus was the pool, jacuzzi, and surrounding sun beds. No other hotel offered this . You didn't have to walk to one of the small beaches, to swim. There were many seating areas also, in the garden surrounding the restaurants. With pine trees, offering shaded areas. The breakfast buffet offered a wide range of cold and hot foods, and was terrific. We ate in the evening and had a very good meal, at reasonable prices. The staff were all very friendly, everywhere was clean. All in all a very good experience

Stayed here May 24, delayed flight connections meant didn't arrive until 3.30 am however someone on reception 24/7 . Room overlooking sea with balcony. No tea or coffee making facilities in our room although we gather there was in some types of rooms . Bit of a lack of drawer space , only a wardrobe so lived out of suitcase. Breakfast was good with fresh baked rolls . Being early season restaurant did not open for lunch and only saw one couple using it on an evening. Pool side bar not open in May so no means to get a drink or a coffee when at pool. Pool was OK but trees drop needles all-day long so a bit of a surface cover of pine needles to swim through. Hot tub was available although didn't use it . Staff all very pleasant and most speak broken English , some waitresses fluent. Within walking distance, 10 mins , from the sea with a lot of restaurants and shops . Unspoilt part of Spain , no ALLDAY BRITISH BREAKFAST , bingo or WE SELL JOHN SMITHS , type places , thankgoodness. Overall hotel good value and well probably return, but maybe in June when restaurant open for lunch , poolside coffees.

Just returned from the hotel Gabri avoid at all costs. The hotel houses refugees which is fine if we had been made of this before our arrival. There were at least 50 young single male refugees at the hotel on our arrival hanging around the reception all day and night.

Myself and my family spent 6 nights in the hotel. Dont get me wrong the location is great but the hotel much to be desired. The basics would make the stay far nicer. Dirty cutlery, plates and filthy glasses. Poor service to the outside areas, you might as well not have the little bar by the pool as its never attended. I would not advise breakfast if you are staying. Just walk into town its about 6mins away. I understand it is 3 stars but felt the improvements would not be costly and make the stay far more enjoyable.

Visited this hotel as a base for a few ending we were attending in the area. The hotel is very very clean and in a great location . It’s a 3 star but a very good one! The bar and restate a little dated but it’s a 5 minute walk to the beach and other bars and restaurants.

We booked one night here - double and a twin. Rooms were spotlessly clean and comfortable. We had pleasant views of the sea from the balconies. Beds were comfortable and linens and towels of a good quality. We thought that although this is an older hotel that it was charming. Check in was efficient and welcoming and all staff were friendly and helpful. The buffet breakfast was absolutely superb- sat in garden to enjoy this. Great start to the day. Pool area was pleasant and the pool was very clean. We will definitely stay here again and will consider for a longer stay.

Really enjoyed our two night stay at the Hotel Garbi in Calella. Very clean, comfortable rooms, sea view from our own balcony, really helpful staff, great buffet breakfast. Short walk to bars and restaurants in Calella which are high quality.

Wonderful staff(Oana, Bogdan, Laura, Rares, Victor,Marc, Atika and her colleagus on Reception, both Karimas and the familiar faces ofthe gardener and ourchambermaid all deserve a mention for their commitment and helpfulness at all times).The envvirons of this wonderful hotel are just so relaxing;food excellent this year;truly the best in Palafrugell.Excellent laundry service too !.

Buenas vistas, ppalmente desde las habitaciones superiores con balcón y vistss al mar, y genial para aparcar. Muy cómodo para ir al centro o para tenerlo como punto de partida para recorrer otras localidades de la Costa Brava. También está muy bien la piscina y el bar en dl jardín.

Très mauvaise expérience ! Je suis extrêmement déçu de mon séjour dans cet hôtel. Au matin de la première nuit , j'ai découvert une colonie de fourmis dans mon lit, ce qui est totalement inacceptable pour une chambre d'hôtel. Elles se trouvent dans la plinthe Malgré mes remarques, on m’a proposé une chambre donnant sur l’arrière qui ne correspondait pas à ma réservation . De plus, une odeur nauséabonde venait des siphons de la salle de bain Un robinet était couvert de vert de gris qui rendait l'utilisation difficile. Certaines serviettes étaient effilochées . Je n’ai pu rencontrer personne de la direction et la personne à l’accueil ne parlait plus français ? Face à ces problèmes, aucune compensation ni réduction ne m’a été offerte, ce qui démontre un manque total de considération envers les clients De plus cet hôtel est bien plus loin du centre de Calella 1 km au moins contre 200 m annoncé Les parkings sont en bas et il y a beaucoup de marches jusqu’à l’hôtel J’ai écourté mon séjour et je passerai dorénavant par une location d’appartement Je déconseille fortement

Nous avons réservé la chambre 317 avec la baignoire balnéo sur la terrasse avec vu sur la mer franchement top !!! La douche dans la salle de bain est à revoir (variation de température intempestive) Je pense que nous étions en fin de saison c'est pour cela que le personnel à l'accueil était peu aimable je recommande quand même
