Nice enough place with premium location with 2 minute walking distance to Bangla rd and the beach. Nice tour booking on front desk. Breakfast was good and different every day although very crowded, only didn’t like that outdoor eating was the only option when it’s so hot outside. I personally really liked the rooftop pool, it was the highlight. The rooms themselves are a little outdated but was very spacious and nice, biggest room I had in Thailand. Unfortunately had to pay 100 baht for losing one room key. Front desk didn’t seem very happy.

Very central location in Patong, yet our hotel room is quiet. We loved the huge bed (superior room) and huge room. Buffet was extensive with plenty of healthy and delicious choices and some dishes changed everyday. The pool on the rooftop (infinity pool) was clean, cozy, has good chairs, and beautiful views of patong beach.

I read a few reviews with a couple of complaints, but I tend to filter them out because some people just like to complain. I couldn’t fault the place, it was ridiculously cheap (I went in low season), the staff were all very friendly and helpful, the amenities were very impressive, the WiFi faster than my home broadband and there stuff I wanted was right outside the hotel. Having a 7/11 on your doorstep is always good. I usually stay at The Royal Spa Hotel round the corner, but went for a cheaper option this time (I stayed for a month) and I’ll definitely go to The Gig hotel next time. I didn’t find it loud (although I don’t exactly have the best hearing) but if you’re looking for peace and quiet, what are you doing booking a hotel near Bangla Road? 100% recommend the place, and I’ll be booking here next time too. All of the rooms look the same btw, mine looked like the ones in the other pictures, so if you don’t like dark green you might not like the colour of your room. Guest friendly too.
