"As a traveler from faraway Brazil, when I first arrived in China, I fell into a physical predicament due to not getting acclimated to the local conditions. Severe vomiting and diarrhea left me completely drained of strength. In my flurry, my clothes and the bedspread were soiled as well. When I was at my most helpless, the young man at the front desk of Atour Hotel in Dezhou extended a helping hand. He not only accompanied me to the hospital attentively, helping me consult the doctor and get the medicine, but also silently took care of everything while I was seeking medical treatment. When I returned to the hotel, I was pleasantly surprised to find that my dirty clothes had been washed and dried, and the bed sheets and covers had been replaced with clean and tidy new ones. All the staff members of the hotel have always provided warm and thoughtful service, showing care and offering help in subtle ways. This warmth that transcends national boundaries made me feel as comfortable and at ease as if I were at home in a foreign land.
