Booked a three-night stay with breakfast and got a room on the 4th floor directly overlooking Joachimsthaler Strasse. First tip - the hotel needs to invest in proper blackout curtains that cover all the windows, but I have read the hotel is overdue a refurbishment that was meant to have happened recently, had it not been for the Covid pandemic. As our room was to the front of the hotel, there is a lot of street noise so if you are a light sleeper, I'd ask for a room facing the rear if possible. The double bed was comfy enough, but you can tell the room is older in style - while the room was clean, it's about coming to the end of its days and needs a freshen up. We had a room with a bathtub and overhead shower, plenty of hot water, and a good size mirror and sink, with hairdryer and plug sockets. There's was a sofa bed in our room, not sure if all standard rooms have these, plus a desk, a small fridge and the usual hotel TV that broadcasts all German TV stations - if you're expecting English language channels, you're out of luck. I wasn't happy with the speed of the WiFi - my 4G mobile connection was faster. Breakfast was good - the usual spread of Continental fayre with the addition of cooked sausages, small boulette, scrambled and hard boiled eggs. Even though Covid restrictions have been lifted in Berlin (at the time of writing) - the hotel reception asked you to book a time for breakfast to avoid overcrowding. This hotel is not really that accessible for people with mobility difficulties - there are a number of steps to get from the street to the reception on the first floor. Would I stay here again? Probably, but only when they've had a refurbishment. Location wise - zero complaints - right on the corner of Joachimsthaler Strasse and Kurfurstendamm with shops, bars, restaurants and public transport links all within a stone's throw.
