Hoteller med barer i Colchester

"Friendly helpful staff, large rooms, beautiful decor, amazing value for money"

"The swimming pool appeared quite big, although we didn't get a chance to use it. Our room was fairly roomy for two people, but with our group of four, it felt a bit crowded. It's worth noting that if you have heavy luggage, you might want to avoid booking a room on the top floor (second floor), as there are no lifts available in this hotel. The bathroom provided only shampoo and body wash, so you might need to bring or purchase your own conditioner. The breakfast exceeded my expectations. Despite anticipating a traditional British offering, I was pleasantly surprised by the variety available, including English hot meals, a salad bar, a selection of cereals (there was Alpen!), milk alternatives (I particularly enjoyed the Oatly), and two coffee machines. Their breakfast was so impressive that I will definitely consider staying at this hotel again when I visit Colchester next time."

"Hotel has a great location. Fabulous rooms. Only downside was the lack of staff which caused problems with the breakfast service. The individual staff members worked hard to compensate but waiting for 20minutes before a drinks order for coffee was taken and then the breakfast room didn't have enough seating for everyone. The quality of the food was really bad and the orders were wrong. I would recommend staying here for location but dont bother eating in the hotel. Standards have really dropped."

"I would have given a high score but the sheer noise, disruption and pure havoc caused by disgusting residents having fighting matches in the rooms and corridor close to our room made the stay horrible. The staff were great I trying to deal with terrible guests but the noise still continued and doors regularly slammed hard. Didn’t sleep well at all "
