Good price-quality offer with reasonable rooms and nice rooftop pool at affordable prices . Location is very challenging: messy and chaotic Soi 5 of Sukhumvit, in between kebab shops and street walkers it is not the best Thailand experience, unless your target was Nana Plaza. Taxis are often stuck in traffic for at least extra 10-15 mins departing from the hotel having to wriggle through the sois first. The rooms are reasonably furnished, but basic. Well cleaned and all basic amenities present. Staff is generally very helpful and friendly (some reception staff excepted, who may be curt, but this may also have to do with the clientele which is... Diverse.) Hotel has two towers: one with cheaper rooms and one with slightly better ones. It has a great rooftop garden pool with very friendly waitstaff and decent food. Great for hangover days. Some peculiarities: despite communicating well in advance the hotel failed to prepare rooms for check-in citing policy of 15:00 hrs (we informed them 3 weeks before expected arrival 12:00 so rooms would be ready) and in the end it took until 17:00 before rooms were made available. This type of amateurism should be avoidable in an normal NH hotel. Hotel has rude and disrespectful policies around visitors, requesting a (platonic) female guest to leave ID at reception and demanding guests sign an overnight escort service declaration. Security considerations can be made understood, but this seems mostly a ploy to monetize their proximity to nearby Nana Plaza, Bangkok's infamous redlight district. Conclusion: PRO: decent prices, good rooms, friendly and helpful service; CON: terrible location, bad hotel policies, poor organizational excellence and the rest of the clientele is also not the most high-end. Solid stay for a few days in BKK, but to be avoided if you seek a better class of city-resort experience.
