We recommend lowering your tire pressure to 15-20 psi so bring a tire pressure gauge along. Tires can be re-inflated at any of the area gas stations or the county put in FREE air stations at the Historic Corolla Park, 1100 Club Road, Corolla. The Park is on the sound side of the road. Turn in at the park road, make a right at the stop sign and another quick right into the gravel parking lot. The air up stations will be at the end of the lot. Check area tide charts prior to arrival. Low tide is ideal for beach driving. Follow all posted speed limits (35 mph or 15 mph when within 300 feet of pedestrians or wild horses). Drive on the hard-packed sand near the edge of the water or close to the dunes. Leave the middle of the beach available for parked vehicles. Drivers must be 16 years of age and possess a valid driver’s license. ATVs are not permitted. Also, Currituck County does not allow personal motorized watercraft on the ocean. Jet skis and personal motorboats are allowed on the Currituck Sound. The closest boat ramp is located at the Whalehead Club in Corolla. Due to shallow water and grass, this ramp is suitable for small craft only. The marsh makes for beautiful views from the back of the house (but is not swimmable water.) Cleaning & linenCleaning is very important to us and we strive to make sure our home is cleaned to all our guests standards. We have enhanced our cleaning to include sanitizing high touch points regularly and providing our guests with cleaning products to wipe down surfaces during their stay. We also give our guests the option of bringing their own linens or using our linen (for an additional fee). Our rates are set up to include the linens and towels being provided. There was plenty of room for our extended family of 22. The house was clean and very appealing. There are 3 refrigerators with one downstairs near the pool and grill. The rec room became a gathering place for us because it overlooks the pool and hot tub and has a nice pool table and bar. The pool and hot tub were large and clean and we used them constantly. The kitchen is large with enough seating for everyone. It had everything we needed plus some. The 7 baths were important for us and gave us the privacy we wanted. Plenty of tv's for everyone and there's also music to the decks with a docking station. We were able to watch an evening concert in the park from the decks of the house and had a great view of the lighthouse. There are bikes to use on the paths along the water and we had fun biking together. Make sure to check out the museum aquarium in the park , it's free, and climb the lighthouse if you dare. But, the wild horse tour was one of the highlights of our vacation. The park had a kite flying contest for the kids and an arts and craft show during the week. Wish we could have stayed longer. We highly recommend this beach house!'
