Ibis Hotel (Zhangye Municipal Government)

Welcoming hotel. The staff was really very kind and helpful when I asked if I could change room because of some smell in the first one. The bed is confortable. I was really well welcomed, thanks!

wonderful 5 nights stay at this Ibis. Super friendly, patient, helpful staff. Pretty much no English like every place I visited in Gansu but greatly compensated by the welcoming and supporting "culture". So no issue other than the fact it requires more time to communicate.y room on the top (6th) floor was quiet except that the noise insulation is very weak and guests can be very loud very late. The hotel is a 5 minutes taxi drive from Zhangyexi (high speed trains West Station) or a 15 minutes walk with no luggage. It is a 20 to 30 minutes easy walk to the west bus station (to Binggou, Danxia, etc...) and maybe 30 to 40 to the touristy Mingqing street. The Dafo temple is 20 to 30 minutes walk away. Definitely worth visiting. The room is not spacious but there is enough space for luggage. The bathroom was small but enough for a solo traveler. Good shower. I needed some time to get the air conditioning system to work as desired. I found the breakfast simply excellent with quite a lot of (Chinese) options. Tiny area though. Great service provided. This Ibis is on my top list for a further trip to Zhangye

It’s perfect.So polite personal. Clean rooms. Perfect service. I like you, guys, thanks for giving a guitar for me to playing and a souvenirs. Breakfast is pretty good. I will come back if I would plan to visit your city again!

Coffee is fantastic. Breakfast is great. If they had guest laundry like many China hotels, it would be perfect as long distance travellers like us. China does not have cheap self service laundrette so hotels that provide washing machines are quite the norm. But overall, 👍👍👍

We considered this hotel the worst for this trip (5 cities/5 hotels). Front office staff is very nice but the thing that is really unacceptable is the cleanliness of the room. First room we got has orange seed left on the bedside table, upon chanting to a new room we found the floor full of sands. Breakfast is really simple and not much choices. TV’s remote control is inoperable and front office staff tell me to use the switch at bedside to turn it off instead, nother day is still left as is.

Room was small. Smelt of cooking in the morning. Only paper cups provided instead of proper cups for tea. Shower gel and shampoo was not replenished. Cleanliness was good, sheets were clean. Location is ok. You must be diligent to get a taxi as it is located in a government office area so not much cars after hours.

This place is quality, for the price it is fantastic

The hotel was a stone throw away from the Zhangye West Speed train station and the receptionist was very welcoming and friendly. Breakfast selection was also good.
