We loved our stay in lanting elegant hotel, the room was super nice (specially shower pressure, bed, and light system!) and the location was perfect! 10 minutes walking until the east side gate with a beautiful river in the way. The negative aspects were the breakfast, only Chinese food, and the massage (don’t go for full body massage, it’s expensive and horrible experience). The staff barely speaks english. But in general, I would recommend this hotel :)

We stayed at the hotel during 2 nights in order to visit the Zhangjiajie National Park and the Grand Canyon and it was a great experience. The room was big and well maintained. Besides, the receptionists helped us book the tickets and were always available via WeChat to answer any questions we may had.

Good location, walking distance to east gate. staffs helpful, help to book park tickets and provided valuable advice. Food is good too at the hotel. Many eatery nearby too.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Lanting Elegant. Really nice rooms in a great location and breakfast was tasty. The room felt very luxurious, staff were friendly and only 10 minutes walk from the main entrance point of Zhangjiajie national park, with plenty of nearby restaurants. The only constructive feedback would be that some of the lobby and cafeteria sections of the hotel could benefit from a bit of renovation, however overall this was a great stay and we’d recommend the hotel to guests coming to Zhangjiajie. We especially enjoyed the little surprises upon our arrival, including the personal note and the flowers - this made it feel very special!

Lanting Elegant Hotel has the best possible customer service - was able to communicate very smoothly and quickly with them on wechat. Their recommendations and assistance on booking of national park tickets were the sole reason for a successful trip in Zhangjiajie. They even helped with a booking of driver for our last day as we had planned to visit multiple locations. Hotel reception also had very useful maps that we could refer to in the national parks.

High price high standing. We had an amazing stay. Location: walking distance from East entrance of the park (can cross the river through a charming wooden path) + walking distance from Wulingyuan center and cute streets. Room (rating the suite with bathtub): best part of the stay. The view on the river+city+mountain is stunning, can even be enjoyed while taking a bath. Room is very spacious, ultra modern (automatic curtains, many lights, hanging chair, fancy bathroom), it has all necessary equipments and the bed is super large and comfortable Staff: extremely friendly and helped us anytime of the day (WeChat and front desk) to prepare our trip, share recommandations, arrange special needs. Service is way above average. Breakfast: the one (and only) disappointment of the stay, it looks like a canteen and clearly not up to the hotel’s standards. Nothing important as you may want to leave early to enjoy the park anyway.

One of the very satisfying hotel stay recently. The staffs servicing us is very friendly, helpful and patience in all our queries. The place is clean and neat. Surely to recommend my friends to choose here when visiting Zhang jia jie.

We enjoyed a pleasant one-night stay here. Our room overlooked the river, and the smart control system in the room was very convenient. The room was spacious, though the breakfast offered fewer options and was just average. It's conveniently located near the Charming Xiang Xi performance. Overall, it was a great stay.

The location is excellent, walking to the east gate is a stroll along the river bank on a proper raised platform. The taohua is blossom during our stay. The front desk provides good service in booking tickets and shows but you have to take their advice on the tracking route with a pinch of salt. They have a washing machine on each floor but don't have a dryer.

This hotel is very close to the zhangjiajie east gate. However, walking across the stream is not doable when the water level of the stream is high. Room is spacious and clean and the toilet bowl is well equipped with cleaning “gadgets”, good for travellers in need to clean body.. staff are young and need to be more communicable with foreigners but generally a good service throughout..thank you for the stay at a place which I think is absolutely wonderful

Excellent location to access East gate (wulingyuan) of ZhangJiaJie - about 10-20 minutes walk depending on whether you can cross the river. We also got the taxi to the grand canyon one day. The room was large and they cleaned it daily. Breakfast was buffet style but quite average - was hoping for better. Good value for money to visit ZJJ.
