Zhangjiajie Ziyan Ningxiang Chinese Inn

We are happy with our stay here (and extended for 2 more nights). The rooms are huge - a lot bigger than expected. The shower is hot, the beds are comfortable and every day we got new water bottles and the beds have been made, plus fresh towels! Downstairs there is a water dispenser which comes in handy and plenty of great restaurants nearby. We usually go to the same one sort of just across the road. The park entrance is nearby, the owner helped us book tickets and the time slot for every entrance (has to be pre-booked). A ticket with unlimited cable car rides and elevator costs 480 pp! Sometimes we had an issue with people smoking and the smell entered the room… didn’t appreciate it at all. Most of the people staying here are foreigners, and everyone seemed distressed by this one guy smoking in front of the elevator (indoors). The problem got solved quickly, but still it kept happening. Would suggest to be stricter with fines and look at the cctv to talk to the person directly.

We would absolutely stay here again. The owner is extremely friendly and helpful. He provided free maps for the various sights we were visiting during our stay. The rooms were relatively clean with strong wifi. The location is unbeatable if you are visiting Zhangjiajie park (Tianzi mountain, Yuanjiajie, etc.) - it’s about a 5 minute walk from the park’s east entrance gate. There are plenty of food options nearby, but it’s a relatively quiet street (not a lot of cars honking). It’s also a 15 minute walk to the main bridge, which is very lively at night.

The room I stay is facing the street view and mountain. Cozzy weather in the early morning roughly 12-14C in November. Great stay.
