Manyuan Resort Hotel

Loved the location! On a quiet street right next to the river, you can easily walk to the east gate entrance from here, or a few minutes to the Main Street as well. We also loved the included breakfast, it is very convenient before a day full of adventure. Staff are all friendly and helpful, even the convenience store lady that is inside the hotel. Our room was quite big, but has a strange layout, with a pillar near the side of the bed, but easy enough to avoid. The “Mountain View”window looked into the local houses, but scenery outside the hotel is much better. It would be nice if the room had hangers or hooks for towels or our coats. Some things were just in strange places, like towels kept in a wardrobe outside the bathroom near the bed, or shampoo bottle is next to the sink, but easy enough to find. Wi-fi was not good, each room was supposed to have their own, but ours only existed for a few hours, we were able to connect to others sometimes, but the service was slow and inconsistent.

The room is quite well kept and nice. The location is also quite central and is close to the attractions. Service is also commendable as the staff offered recommendations on good food nearby with 10% off. Only thing I'm unsure is that they recommended to buy Baofeng Lake tickets from them, which they quoted as being 100 Yuan per pax, with the original price supposedly 110 Yuan. I was unable to confirm the original price at the actual ticket counter, but either case, it's either not worth it, or they overcharged us.

Great location and friendly staff. The location was close to the entrance of the park on the Wulingyuan side. It was central in town and close to great food and shopping. The concierge service was also excellent. The hotel helped us with all aspects of our visit and recommended a tour strategy of the mountains. The rooms were clean, large and airy but a little older. Manyuan Resort Hotel is located in the Wulingyuan district of Zhangjiajie, making it an ideal place to stay when you are visiting Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, Baofeng Lake, and the Grand Canyon Glass Bridge. In fact, it is only a walking distance to the East Gate of Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, and there are many restaurants and food stalls near the hotel. We had booked a non-smoking room, but the room we were given had the faint smell of smoke and there was an ash tray in the room. When we raised the issue to the staff, they were very accommodating to our concerns and it was resolved smoothly. Overall, the room was clean and kid-friendly because there was a small toy slide in the room. Also, we loved how our room had a wonderful view of the river in front of the hotel and of the looming mountains in the distance. Their buffet breakfast was excellent! There was a variety of food and drinks. Noodles, fried rice, meat dishes, vegetable dishes, bread, fruit, etc. Every dish we tried in the hotel was delicious and very satisfactory to our tastes. All the staff we encountered was very accommodating, warm, and hospitable. We loved how they gave us a personalized experience during our stay in Manyuan Resort Hotel. The hotel concierge, Xiaolin, was so helpful with our trip around Wulingyuan. She helped us in booking our tickets and recommending the routes to take in the Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, Baofeng Lake, and the Grand Canyon Glass Bridge. She was also able to secure a student discount for my daughter even though she does not go to a Chinese university. Words cannot express just how grateful we are to Xiaolin. The hotel’s price is reasonable and worth it. We highly recommend Manyuan Resort Hotel to those who plan to visit Wulingyuan.

The hotel has been beautiful and very well located, but without a doubt what differentiates it is the attention of its staff. Xiao has been the best help we have been able to have, they have helped us with the routes, he bought us the tickets, he helped us with the clothes .... a wonder of attention. I totally recommend this hotel

I really liked the room style—the wood fit the park vibe. They upgraded us to the river room and it had a nice view of the river in front of the hotel and a balcony with a large bathtub and stone flooring. The included breakfast was nice to fill up before a long day of walking at Zhangjiajie National Park. It’s a good location, short walk to the east gate of the park and they help you create a park strategy depending on how many days you plan to attend the park which was very useful. They also have discounted tickets to the park and the Great Canyon if you book through their front desk.
