Overall, it has been a pleasant stay at Yuxi with very little to complain about. The homestay manager was super helpful in providing travel tips to the ZJJ Forest while also offering discounted ticket for purchase (which were cheaper than buying online from Trip). Also, pickup and drop off at the East Gate was provided free of charge. The room was clean, a bit small but spacious enough for two. Mattress was not so comfortable but wasn't a deal breaker for us. During the night, it was quiet with the soothing sound of the small river at the back. Próbably one aspect for room for improvement would be to provide good strong coffee in the future. The coffee from the machine tasted bland and I couldn't find any nearby cafes to buy coffee from.

I can’t say enough positive things about my stay here. I was a solo traveler and loved it here. The family run business is shown through and they are incredibly personable and helpful. From planning my stay to giving any advice — I can’t express how grateful I am! I enjoyed the room and the home cooked meal. Highly recommend staying here!

I recommend staying at this hotel. The owner is very nice and helpful - immediately after arrival he helped us plan a trip and provided a map of attractions. Breakfast is typically Chinese and very tasty (there are also options for vegetarians, which is great). The hotel is a bit out of the way, but the owner provides transport to attractions, which is also a big plus. From the window there is a view of the area, which can be admired in the evenings after trips. The hotel is not very new, but the price is adequate to the place. It is worth choosing :)

This is one of the very cozy humble boutique hotel/guesthouse/bnb (I’m not sure what’s the exact term) but I love everything about this place. The owners, the location, the view, the peacefulness, the humbleness, the kindness. Owners are very friendly, helpful and kind to every guest. They are there to hands on the business that I couldn’t find it in many other places where they hire helper and assistants to run it. I highly recommend this place if you are visiting Wulingyuan.

Believe me or not but for you who read this review i will tell you something. Ive never meet the boss who run their hotel business like YuXi Owner. He and his wife really have their heart at the fullest on their business. He help us a lot in many aspect like our itinerary, help us to book many tickets for discount and also gave me Tea when i said i wanna buy sorethroat medicine. He sent us from hotel to scenic area and picked us up from there to hotel for free. He let his daughter to play with mine and let them to see fireworks. After from this hotel my mom said, i will never get really2 good experience like in YuXi again. I will absolutely come and stay in this hotel again when i come to zhangjiajie. And for the last he gave us 2 bottles of Tea Leaf. Thx for your kindness

The room was wide and the view really good. The owner was super nice and even offered to drive me to the bus station on the mornings so I could access to the parks faster. It only takes a few minutes to reach Zhangjiajie park, so it was really convenient! Breakfast is also good. Thank you very much for your warm welcome 😊

The host is very friendly and so lovely. He helped us to plan our trip to Zhangjiajie National Forest Park and also give a free ride to us from the hotel to the park’s gate, to bus station and to the Charming Xianxi theatre. They also have a restaurant that has a very great taste food not to mention the room was also awesome, clean and comfortable. Thanks Aidin for welcoming us!

Absolutely amazing hotel. The manager/ owner is one of the kindest people we met while in China. Planning a route around Zhangjiajie Park for us as well as booking cheaper taxis than you find on Didi. To top it off there was a family who's daughter spoke English staying at the hotel, he promptly introduced us and we spent our time together making our trip even better as communication became just that much easier. The food at the hotel was also excellent, flavourful and quick

The hotel room was very nice and clean! Especially the view and the balcony! At first, it was very cold in the room due to the low outside temperatures, but the air conditioning quickly warmed it up, and we were able to enjoy a hot shower! The hotel owner was very helpful and gave us great routes for Zhangjiajie National Park and Tianmen Mountain. We were truly amazed by the nature!

We had a very good experience over there. The owner is very friendly. He picked us up from Wulingyuan Bus Station. (You need to take bus from Zhangjiajie Bus station which is right next the Zhangjiajie Railway Station to Wulingyuan). This homestay is located in the quiet place along with a small stream. The room is very clean with free breakfast(P6). The homestay is 5 mins driving away to Zhangjiajie National Forest Park. The owner also offered detailed travel plan for us, so we had a great time in the national park. We loved their home cooking local foods so much!!!!!( I attached the menu below). We stayed there for 5 days, we ate out the first day. After we tried their cooking, we didn't eat out anymore. We texted owner before we came back. When we arrived homestay all the dishes had been ready. We highly recommend this homestay.

The host was exceptionally helpful and friendly. They sat us down when we first arrived and ran through the local sites with a map and helped us to plan an itinerary for our short stay of two days. We appreciated the local knowledge to be realistic about what we could fit in for our time there. I recommend staying at least three full days to see everything. The scenery is absolutely amazing and the view is very nice from the room. The space is clean and tidy and the beds are comfortable.

The place is conveniently located near the Zhangjiajie National Forest Park and is easily reachable by local ride hailing transport! The homestay boss is very nice and helpful and explained the route and how to tour the various attractions in Zhangjiajie in detail and is easily contactable whenever I need help! The room is very beautiful with a great mountain view and is very clean as well. I enjoyed my stay there very much and thank you for the great stay! Highly recommend this place for a budget-friendly and comfortable accommodation option!

I had a great stay at Yuxi! The owner was very helpful, planning my itinerary to ZhangJiaJie National Park, helping to book tickets, and making my stay very pleasant and welcoming! Kudos to this sweet accommodation! The Didi trip to the national park costs 20RM per day to and from.

One of the best hotel stays we have ever had in China. Amazing hospitality and the most delicious breakfast everyday. My girlfriend is a picky eater and she devoured their wonton soup. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. The bed was very comfy and the view outside of the room was phenomenal. I came to Wulingyuan for all of the amazing hiking and scenery but every morning we wanted to relax in our room because of how cozy it felt. Staff was amazing, and even drove us to get food late in the evening instead of allowing us to call a taxi. He went over the best forest park routes for us and reccomended a great, affordable massage therapist. Ask for therapists #82 & #50. And one of the highlights of our stay that I believe emphasizes the caring nature of the family running the hotel is that the night we arrived, they rescued 2 baby kittens and created a place to shelter them. As animal lovers, we really appreciated that. Cant wait to return!
