Shanzhi Fenghe Homestay is located outside the East Gate of Zhangjiajie National Forest Park. It only takes 5-8 minutes to walk to the entrance of the scenic area. We loved our stay at this cute hotel in Qulingyuan. The hotel owner and his family are so nice and made us feel welcome. They went out of their way to help us all the time and were lovely to speak to and practice English / Chinese. The hotel is very close to the entrance to the East Gate of the national park and the street night market opens 10m from the doorstep, which is very convenience for food and vibes. The rooms are modern, clean and spacious. We highly recommend other tourists stay. Thank you - Ryan and Taylor from Australia.

We recently stayed here, and it was an absolutely wonderful experience, to say the very least. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm hospitality, and the checkin process was smooth and efficient. The room was beautifully designed and spotlessly clean (did I mention the room comes with a bathtub!). The location was perfect for exploring Zhangjiajie National Park. The owners were friendly, helpful and went above and beyond to ensure that we had a comfortable stay. They also helped to plan our trip to the Zhangjiajie National Park and provide booking services to the other attractions.
We couldn't have asked for a better experience and will definitely be returning next time. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a comfortable and memorable stay.

Great location, the room was clean and comfortable. Hotel owners are very friendly, helped us with tickets for the national park and the Yellow Dragon Cave, also gave some good advice about routes in the park.

This homestay, run by a brother and sister, is a great place to stay.
Despite the double glazing, you’ll probably want a room facing away from the road, like the one I had, in order to minimise the noise.
The brother and sister team did not speak a lot of English, but they were adept users of translation apps and this was perfectly adequate. They were both very hospitable, kind and thoughtful.
The rooms are very modern and well equipped. No complaints.
The homestay is about midway between the bus station and the entry gate to the National Park (about 10 minutes walk to each) - very convenient.
I’m a vegetarian and I would recommend the street market in front of the hotel for dining options - it’s a better choice than the restaurants which are geared primarily to meat-eaters.

Best place to live in Wulingyuan. Very nice people, personal attention and very welcoming. On top of everything, they also served us fruits and candies. Very good consultations to visit all attractions. Language barrier did not matter at all. Most hygienic and awesome interior, room amenities are also beyond expectations. Location cannot be any better. Close to the East entrance; additionally street food, street shopping, foot massages and convenient stores right outside, also many local restaurants just outside.

We recently stayed at this wonderful homestay in Wulingyuan, and we can confidently say it was an exceptional experience. Both the lady and gentleman host was incredibly helpful and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable and memorable. They guided us around Wulingyuan and Zhangjiajie, sharing insider tips and helping us navigate the stunning landscapes. Additionally, they assisted us in booking tickets at discounted prices, which was a huge bonus. One of the highlights was being hosted to tea sessions with the hosts, which added a personal and cultural touch to our stay.
The rooms were immaculately clean and well-equipped with modern amenities, including a smart toilet and smart curtains, making our stay both comfortable and convenient. The hosts’ thoughtfulness extended to offering us fresh fruits and even providing umbrellas during rainy weather. These small gestures made a big difference and showcased their genuine care for guests.
Overall, this hotel exceeded my expectations in every way. From the warm hospitality to the excellent facilities, it’s the perfect place to stay while exploring the Wulingyuan and Zhangjiajie. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area!

Modern and very clean with convenient location - super staff
We can highly recommend the «A Journey with Mountain, Wind & Hope » accommodation. Very modern little hotel with light decor, good facilities and a super staff!
Please be reminded that this review is based on that this is a local hotel and not a four or five star big hotel.
Rooms: the rooms are spacious, very clean and has modern interior. They have big windows and the possibility to open a smaller part of the window if you like fresh mountain air. The room also have good heating and air conditioning.
Location: the location is very good. About 5 - 10 minutes from Zhangjiajie East Gate. There are several restaurants and small shops in the vicinity. It is also close to the bus station (5 -10 min walk). There are frequent buses from downtown Zhangjiajie. So you can easily reach Tianmen Mountain and the high speed railway station. Buses are also easy to reach for the Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon.
Service:
The staff is super. They can provide different kind of tourist information and maps. Very helpful! English is a little limited if you are international traveller, but it was no problem using translator programs.
We had a very good stay and were very happy with the experience at the hotel «A Journey with Mountain, Wind & Hope»

Love this hotel. Very Good location , close to east gate, about ten minutes walking. A lot restaurants around .. Room is new ,clean. Staff is very friendly and helpful . The owner is a very nice lady , warm hearted and very helpful. She introduced nice restaurants, helped us get discounted tickets , helped us plan every day’s schedule, explained the detailed route …
