We arrived in Zarautz, Spanish Basque from Saint Jean de Luz, French Basque via the Hendaia Euskotren station (1 hour 15-minutes). The Hotel Zerupe was an easy 5-minute walk from the train station and just a few minutes walk to the gorgeous beach. Perfect location. We were so happy we decided to visit this beautiful small city in the Basque coastal region on the Bay of Biscay. We reserved the Doble room for two nights. The room was on the small side and laid out efficiently; it was light and very clean; had hardwood floors; motorized window coverings; enough storage space for us; and complimentary coffee and filtered water. The large walk-in shower was very nice. Breakfast was fresh and very good, it was an added €12 per person per day; it included meatcheese, seasonal fruit, yogurt, fresh squeezed juice, breads and pastries. All the staff were friendly. Paolo especially was a delight to talk with. He prepared our morning breakfast. From Zarautz we took the coastal walk to Getaria (about 1 to 1 ½ hours, one-way) where we enjoyed a late lunch of Pintxos and a bottle of the delicious local white wine Txakoli at the restaurant Amonamaria overlooking the sea. The day we left, we spent the morning taking a short hike up to the Ermita de Santa Barbara through beautiful vineyards and with stunning views of the city, the beach and the Bay of Biscay. In the afternoon we took the Euskotren to Bilbao, about a 2-hour train trip.

Un très bel hôtel très bien situé en plein centre de Zarautz ce qui permet de déambuler à pied. L'accueil est chaleureux. Les chambres sont très originales avec un puits de lumière et une deco atypique. Le lit king zize dispose d'une très bonne literie. Bien que situé en centre ville il est très calme.

Mi opinión es la poca seriedad del establecimiento, tengo una reserva desde el 17 de Noviembre de 2023, una habitación cuádruple por 500 euros para 2 noches de junio del 7 al 9 , y mi sorpresa me llama Booking porque el establecimiento me la anula porque ahora cuesta 200 euros más si la quiero, llamé al hotel y me cuenta que si estaban cerrados de Diciembre a Marzo y son otros precios, perdoná le dije que yo reservé en Noviembre y Booking no confirma sin el ok del establecimiento, lo que pasa que es el triatlón y hay mucha demanda y quieren abusar ,es una guarrada y ojalá le quede sin ocupar, porque eso no se hace

Poco más puedo decir desde lo ya publicado. Excelente el hotel y el trato. Referente al precio lo veo más que razonable, porque su categoría se asemeja más a las cuatro estrellas que a las dos. Un hotel con un diseño muy moderno una escrupulosa limpieza y con todos los servicios necesarios; sito en el centro de Zarautz y a dos pasos de la playa. La única pega que le veo es la dificultad para conseguir reserva, debido a que son pocas habitaciones y está muy solicitado. Si vuelvo a Zarautz, haré lo imposible para poder repetir en este hotel.

Hotel pequeño y muy amable su personal, explendidamente instalado en la parte antigua de Zarauzt, habitación confortable aunque sin ventanas... La estancia fue muy buena porque Pablo nos informó muy bien de todo lo que podíamos ver, comer y hacer.... En contra tiene que no se puede aparcar cerca del hotel y que es un poco caro para la categoría del establecimiento. Así y todo lo recomiendo...
