Lovely hotel. Great food and wonderful staff made this AI break a fabulous one. The room was serviced every day and was left immaculate. The pool was a little chilly but the beach (2 mins walk) was absolutely beautiful and we spent 2 of our 5 days there. Wonderful sandy beach with shallow water (great for small children). Excellent beach bar too. Fantastic holiday.

We have just come back from the golden sun hotel in kalamaki this is our second visit and we enjoyed it just as much as the first time. The hotel and all staff are so friendly and helpful especially the head chef who welcomes you every meal time, he even drove me to the chemist to get some cream for my bites. The meals have plenty of choice and are replenished regularly. The rooms are modern with a fridge and a big shower we asked for the same room as last time and they obliged so we had a lovely pool view. The hotel is very close to the beach and kalamaki is flat for walking so suitable for people with mobility problems. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough.

Put in the old golden sun hotel dark depressing lift not working another 2 flights of stairs then we got to our room a 4* hotel don't make me laugh was terrible back to reception at the new golden sun to complain and was told you have a bed & a toilet you don't need anything else so take care about booking this hotel oh & the food not good ate out every night.

I visited late October with my husband for a week. We booked last minute and got an excellent deal. The hotel is in an excellent location, really close to a beautiful beach. The staff were really helpful and friendly, rooms were clean (cleaners came in every day) and the facilities were very good. I don't understand people's negative comments about the food. There was a great deal of variety for an all inclusive hotel. I was particularly impressed with the choices- fresh salads every day and a variety of delicious cakes. Never an issue getting sunbeds but beware in October the pool is cold- not much can be done about that however! I would have liked to drink a glass of wine with my evening meal instead of from a plastic beaker but can understand why the hotel might be reluctant to do this. I'd actually give 4.5 stars. A special mention to the bar manager Yannis(?). He was so friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this hotel and don't be put off by some of the negative comments- some people are never happy!

The hotel is kept spotlessly clean, the staff are friendly and helpful , a great destination for a relaxed week by the pool holiday . The sandy beach is only a five minuets walk and the warm sea is swimming friendly for all members of the family.
