Zante Sun Resort

Not a long journey from the airport. Check in was fast and efficient. We had 2 rooms that accommodated 3 people in each. The hotel was spotless and the staff very polite. For us as a family the only thing that let the hotel down was there wasn’t a great choice at meal times (all inclusive) for children. There were no pancakes or waffles served at breakfast which we have become accustomed to at other hotels when on an all inclusive package and very little for fussy eating children to choose from on an evening. (No chicken nuggets or pizza etc) The all inclusive drinks (cocktails) were an acquired taste.. there was no usual “s@x on the beach or pina colada.. just a large list of made up cocktails that to me tasted like alcoholic Ice pops. There is no entertainment on an evening and no music playing around the pool. ( which will be heaven to some people) The walk into Laganas isn’t the best as there are no footpaths when walking on the roads and if you drop down to follow the beach you end up walking over stones/rocks in places and either have to walk through the sea at one point or walk up hill through a beach bar to join the road. This is a lovely hotel but unfortunately the food aspect has ruined it a bit for us.

Lovely hotel, the standard of the room was very good with tea making facilities and a fridge. The towels were changed every day and the cleaners did an excellent job. The cocktails in the Skyfall bar were excellent. All of the staff in the restaurant and main pool bar worked very hard, always with a smile and nothing was too much trouble. The only thing stopping me from giving this five stars was the cost of the towels for the pool: €30 for the two of us for 10 days - we could exchange them each day but I think this was a high charge.

Just returned from a week stay at Zante Sun Hotel. We had a great stay. On arrival we were told they had upgraded our room. The room was lovely. Modern, extremely clean with cleaners coming in daily, comfy bed, big balcony and lots of storage. The whole hotel was spotless all of the time. The food in the restaurant was great, plenty of choice. This holiday was our first time we have gone all inclusive, although we enjoyed the food, we ate out a few times as we missed doing this. The drinks at the pool bar were fine, most nights we paid and had a few drinks in the roof top bar, which are definitely worth the money. The hotel and pool areas were great, with plenty of sunbeds. We loved the fact that the hotel is quiet with no entertainment, great to switch off and relax, maybe it wouldn't be the best place for entertaining children etc. A good location for visiting Cameo Island and accessing local trips, with a handy shop opposite. All the staff were friendly and welcoming. We would recommend this hotel for people looking for chilled, relaxing break.

I have just returned from a weeks all inclusive stay at this wonderful hotel and cannot praise it highly enough. The food on offer is quite simply superb and all of the staff so friendly and helpful. The whole place is immacutely clean and the room in which we stayed in was large and spacious with ample storage facilities for everyone's requirements. There are 3 pools to choose from with plenty of sunbeds to go round. Despite this some sad people still put towels down to reserve the same ones every day...get a life people. Thank you to everyone at the Zante Sun Hotel for making our holiday such a memorable experience.

Nice hotel . Very modern. Pool area good. Nice spa area . Food was great with variety and different everyday . Good breakfast and plenty to choose from . We arrived after 10pm and was told bar would close at 11 pm. Told there was food for late arrivals . Food was a roll and an Apple . Ordered drinks . We were a party of 9 . I then went to get another just before 11pm. The barman was very rude and aggressive made us all go up one by one ! 2 nd night we sat played cards etc barman let us get drinks for the group all night then just before 11 was rude again . We did make a complaint .. not much help from manager . You have to pay for certain things and if you use the sky bar drinks are good but at a price . Sky bar staff lovely . It’s just a Shame as would make a lovely area to sit on an evening using the all inclusive . Not enough table and chairs for people to sit on an evening this meant people sat on sun beds .. could do with nicer area and maybe some live music .. towels take your own as have to pay 1.5 euros a day . Safe is charged at 20 euros . Reception staff unfriendly . Asked if we could use a room to change on last day as we had a late pick up . Was just told NO we are full .. but rooms were a available to book through other sites . Would I stay here again. ? NO

Your life could be in danger in Zante Sun Resort! During the night in our Suite the huge EXTREMELY HEAVY WALL MIRROR FELL OFF THE WALL AND LANDED ON MY CHILDREN'S BEDS, in which they were sleeping. On the beds of my 6-month-old and 4-year-old children, on the travel cot and on the pillow of my bigger childs. This mirror, weighing around 40kg, was attached to the wall with just a few dots of glue (!!), as you can see in the pictures. The only reason no tragedy happened was because my daughter's head was not on the pillow and the travel cot was higher than the bed, and it absorbed the impact. The manager of the hotel said that it was not an accident and she didn't understand what our problem is. The case of our family also shows that ANY GUEST'S LIFE COULD BE IN DANGER EVEN WHILE SLEEPING AT ZENTE SUN RESORT. It's a shame that this "Resort" hasn't been closed yet (with such irregular construction solutions), it's only possible in the Balkans..

Just returned from an amazing week at the Zante Sun. Having read some of the reviews I was a bit concerned but there was no sign of any negatives. Easy transfer from the airport. Impressive looking hotel upon arrival and staff were welcoming and helpful. Rooms were nice. Every part of the complex is spotless with cleaners visible pretty much all day. 3 pools to choose from but we stuck to the main one. Clear signs around the hotel stating sunbeds not to be reserved and that any towels will be removed. This is adhered to which is fantastic. Meant beds were available on a first come first served basis, which is fair in my opinion. That said, we went on a boat trip and returned around lunch time and still managed to get 2 beds by the pool! Food is great. Some criticism of this in other reviews but can't see why. Great selection of food at each meal. If there was nothing to suit in there I can't see how anybody would ever be able to eat at all. Drinks are served in the restaurant, with wine, beer and soft drinks available. Other reviews have criticised no spirits but these are available in the bars so is it a big deal to not have spirits with food? Sometimes the staff were a bit slow with the table service for the drinks but again, not a big issue. Staff in all areas were fantastic and made every effort to ensure guests were well looked after. Special mention to Marino on the pool bar. Lovely guy who went out of his way to help. No entertainment in the hotel, which we knew about and really liked. Music is played in the bar at night but not too loud. Rooftop bar which isn't included in the all inclusive. We didn't use it as the all inclusive ran until 11pm so plenty for us by then. There is an upstairs lobby area which has stunning views across the bay. Nothing there but a nice place to get away from it all for an hour and read a book etc. Walk past reception and take the staircase in the far right corner by the massage chairs. The town of Agios Sostis is a stroll away with some nice restaurants and bars there. Ask the staff to direct you as there is a back gate at the hotel which makes the walk easy. Out of the gate, turn right, turn left at the supermarket and you can't miss it. Cameo Island is a 5 minute walk (downhill) and the harbour is next to it. Laganas is a 15 minute walk away. The water isn't drinkable and no bottled water provided but there is a supermarket literally over the road with bottled water costing next to nothing. Travel booking place opposite too with a very helpful lady there where you can book excursions, boat trips, boat hire, car hire etc. Bar next door showed English football! Would have no hesitation in recommending Zante Sun. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thank you to all of the staff.

Well what can I say. What an amazing resort. Food is beautiful. Lots of drinks to choose from. There are some that aren't but more than enough all Inclusive. Hotel is immaculate and staff are so lovely. When I read some of the negative reviews I must admit I was a bit hesitant. However I honestly don't know what people are moaning about . Amazing hotel and staff and would definitely visit again

Stayed here for a week as a family summer holiday. The hotel is very clean and there seem to be a never ending stream of cleaners keeping it spotless. We stayed in a maisonette room which is a great layout and worked very well for a family of 4. The week we stayed was very hot and the pool was very welcome with plenty of loungers and although the hotel was full it never felt too busy. We were impressed and had a relaxing and enjoyable stay.
