3 Day/2Night ATTA desert camp Feb 13-Feb 15 Marrakesh-Erg Chegaga-RAK Overall, this was definitely the highlight of our trip to Morocco. The 3 day/2night tour with 1 night experience at the camp at Erg Chegaga was absolutely wonderful 5/5! From start to finish, Lahsen, Julia and their team were super responsive, and took care of everything!! My friend and I opted for the more secluded Erg Chegaga vs. Erg Chibba options and are so glad we did. It is well worth the additional drive across the dessert (~2.75hrs), as the dunes are higher and more spread out in area and there are less people here! Definitely 5/5 stars for overall experience, thanks to this superb team! From a simple courtesy text from our driver-guide (Said) the evening before our tour, to the follow up that we made our flights to our next destination, it was all seamless. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Key highlights of tour include: -Day 1: Our expert driver:guide Said, instantly made us feel comfortable and welcome as we left our Riad in Marrakesh, and smoothly had us on our way, leaving the traffic of Marrakesh behind. Sharing the right amounts of information, and answering our questions about a myriad of items related to Morocco culture and languages of arabic, berber, french, spanish and italian; we practiced them interchangeably along the way. -Itinerary Schedule: was just right for Day 1, with key attractions along the way, finishing up with night 1 at a beautiful riad with delicious dinner and traditional Berber music around the outdoor fire after. Day 2: Again the right amount of places to visit before the amazing drive across the desert to arrive at ATTA camp. No GPS needed to guide us, as Said selected the right sand tracks to arrive at our camp about 2.75 hrs later! Impressive! -AMAZING WELCOME at camp by Hussein our camp “concierge” (my term!) of delicious mint tea after our multi hour drive across the desert, and later after a DELICIOUS LUNCH of lamb kofta (how does one create such deliciousness in the arid simplicity and beauty of the Sahara desert??), a camel ride to a dune to begin our observation of the spectacular and breathtaking sunset! Our camp was truly a little oasis of secluded privacy, delicious traditional cuisine and copious quantities of mint tea, and stellar service and ambiance by our three hosts of Said, Hussein and Chef ?. ☀️ Sunset viewing for over an hour perched atop a dune as our own private and peaceful observation point. 🐪Camel ride to and from above activity by a local berber, who waited patiently while we ran down the dunes, etched “❤️” in the dune and watched and soaked in the sand and sunset. Truly stunning!! Word or pictures don’t do it justice. ⛺️ Return to camp and the hosting continued by our wonderful driver/guide, Said and our camp concierge and assistant cook, Hussein. The service and food /mint tea were absolutely outstanding, worthy of a Sultan or King/Queen. ✨: Stargazing here was amazing, as sky was like a canvas full of stars and
