Hotel Marinko

The hotel is located 300 meters away from a sandy beach, which was the main factor I picked Hotel Marinko. Breakfast they serve is great, rooms are cosy. If you are not a German speaker, I do not recommend turning on the tv, as the majority of channels are in German. Tvs are not connected to a WiFi either. The staff are friendly and helpful. If I decide to go to Croatia again, I will stay at their hotel.

Fantastic stay here, the staff are wonderful & happy to help with any query. Our room was quite small but modern & spotlessly clean. Breakfast was also great with a good selection of breads, meats, cereal & eggs made to order. It's a short walk to town but very enjoyable past the marinas. We also enjoyed the bar opposite the hotel. We shall definitely be returning.

The hotel was better than we expected. It is located on the outskirts of Zadar and people have complained that it can take 40 minutes to walk to the town centre. Well, we didn't do that and caught a bus instead. They run at regular intervals and the charge is around 1.50 Euros each way so no big deal. The bus stop for town is around the corner and about 200 metres away. Taxis are another option and not too expensive. The drive to town on the bus or taxi is around 12 minutes. The rooms are nice. Ours was quite large compared to most hotels and the mattress and pillows were so soft we didn't want to get out of bed in the morning. Breakfast is good, despite some reviews. Everything is fresh with a good choice of continental items, fresh soft bread, cheese, ham, boiled eggs, olives, cakes etc. Enough for all tastes. If you ask the ladies in the kitchen will cook you fresh omelettes or scrambled eggs which are delivered to your table piping hot. The staff were all very good and very helpful. There are numerous restaurants nearby but a few had closed as we went at the end of the season but there enough that are open to cater for you. We used the Congo restaurant which is not African but mainly Italian cuisine although they do steaks and other foods as well. The pizzas were superb being cooked in an original Italian built pizza oven. Two Italian guys were shipped over to oversee the build. The other restaurant we used was Mijo Restaurant. The do a pepper steak to die for. I went back for another the following evening. Congo is literally on your doorstep at 100 metres away and Mijo is maybe 300 metres from the hotel. They have ample parking for cars and the one big bonus of this hotel is the peace and quiet. We slept like logs and came back after seven days fully refreshed. Would we visit again? Sure we would.

Wir waren 2 Wochen in Kroatien unterwegs. Dies war das schlechteste, aber auch teuerste Hotelzimmer der ganzen Reise. Kleines Zimmer im 2. Stock (ohne Lift), welches nicht den Bildern entspricht.Aussicht auf Abfall und Ruinen. Hotel braucht dringend eine Renovation: kleiner verdreckter Balkon, Duschbrause lässt sich nicht befestigen, Duschtüre mit Spalten führen zur Überschwemmung im Bad, im Korridor welliger Boden mit abgtretenem Teppich ..... Parkplatz neben dem Hotel, aber hin zur dunklen Abfallecke eines Supermarktes und defektem Zaun. Lage: ca 10 Min. zu Fuss zum öffentlichen Strand oder 5.5 km mit dem Auto nach Zadar. Das Frühstück war in Ordnung. Wir raten allen ab, dieses klar zu teure Hotel zu buchen

L'hotel si trova in periferia rispetto al centro storico ma è vicino alla spiaggia. Le camere sono pulite ma piccole, dotate di un balconcino. Mancano però prese comode e funzionanti (ce n'era solo una in camera). La colazione è varia, con cibi dolci e salati, ma ci sono molte api che rovinano la piacevolezza di gustarsi la colazione nel giardinetto dell'albergo. Nel complesso buon rapporto qualità prezzo.

Over het algemeen een aangenaam hotel, zeer vriendelijk personeel. Ontbijt vanaf 7u met uitgebreid aanbod en erg lekker. Alleen jammer als je door een daguitstap het ontbijt niet kan halen dat je geen lunchpakket mee krijgt ter vervanging. Kamers zijn eerder aan de kleine kant en donker. Meubilair en aankleding eerder verouderd, al kan dit ook zijn charmes hebben. Buiten staat een bord ‘Restaurant/hotel Marinko’ maar het restaurant bestaat al even niet meer. Wel jammer dat dit niet wordt aangepast. Kamer werd elke dag mooi terug opgemaakt en zelfs de airconditioning werd overdag aangelegd om ervoor te zorgen dat de kamer aangenaam koel was eens we terug op hotel waren. Aan de andere kant wel negatieve ervaring met verse handdoeken die toch nog make-up sporen van vorige gebruikers bevatten. Beetje combinatie van goed en minder goed dus. Persoonlijk zou ik een ander hotel kiezen indien ik Zadar in de toekomst nog eens bezoek,
