Manzo's Suites

Best hotel experience, beautiful location, great nightlife, the staff are amazing (even gave us a free cocktail) I would totally recommend booking!! this was the best trip we’ve ever taken 😆😆

We had an incredibly disappointing stay at this hotel and would not recommend it. We had booked a suite with a jacuzzi, but upon arrival, we were given a standard double room instead. When we raised the issue with the reception, we were informed that it was a booking error, and all jacuzzi suites were fully booked. To make matters worse, no compensation was offered. While the room was passable in terms of basic functionality, it left much to be desired. The bed was unhygienic, with visible stains on the mattress and duvet, and stray hairs that clearly weren’t ours (we’re both blonde). The room itself lacked natural light, with only ambient lighting available, making it difficult to see properly except in the bathroom. The design of the room seemed impractical for guests. Adjusting the shower temperature was a frustrating challenge, and the faucet was covered in limescale due to its odd shape. The shower itself had very little water pressure, providing only a weak trickle. Additionally, while the room featured a kettle on a table, there were no nearby outlets, forcing us to boil water on the floor. For the price we paid, we expected much better. There are plenty of hotels in the area that offer superior quality for less money. Unfortunately, this stay was a letdown in every way. Avoid this hotel if you can.

Booked the hotel specifically for the bath tub which was the best thing about this hotel. It was big, warm and I liked the special effects (lighting and bubbles) I also liked that you got robes. The area itself is also really nice, Zaandam is a nice little village with direct links to central so perfect if you want to stay out of the centre. The hotel itself really let me down, the noise been the biggest issue. I had read this on prior reviews and took some earplugs in case but these did nothing. The hotel is situated above bars/ clubs which are open until 2am and some 5am on the weekend. The music and bass was blasting and we got no sleep at all. On top of this one of the windows would not close properly so the noise was even worse. If you want to sleep and be rested avoid this hotel. We were also disappointed as we couldn’t connect the tv to WiFi and therefore could not stream as directed on the manual. We did call reception to report but no one ever got back to us. There was a few English channels however I would have liked if someone got back to us as they said they would. Whilst the bath tub was nice I would not stay here again due to the level of noise. I feel this should be made known when booking as I’ve had 3 nights of no sleep which has put a downer on my trip.

-GOOD TO KNOW- Geluidsoverlast op vrijdag en zaterdag. Loft 2 is een luxe kamer aan de kant van zeker twee kroegen/clubs die tot 5 uur (!) ‘s ochtends open zijn en geluid produceren van meer dan 50 decibel, met de ramen dicht. Vanaf 21:00 geen receptie meer aanwezig (of een telefoonnummer)om het te melden én komt het geluid dwars door oordoppen heen. Vriendelijke receptie vroeg zich (de volgende ochtend dat wij dit meldde) af waarom wij onszelf niet goed hadden geïnformeerd over deze kamer, want wij hadden dit kunne weten… Ik vond wat recensies uit 2018 (zie bijgevoegde foto’s), maar geen helaas recente. Bij deze. Wij hebben geen compensatie of überhaupt een excuus gekregen. Het telefoontje wat wij zouden ontvangen, hebben we ook niet mogen ontvangen… helaas. De beschadigingen aan de kamer (zie foto’s) hadden wij door de vingers willen zien, maar niet na zo’n rotnacht, wat een romantisch uitje had moeten zijn.

Wij gingen voor de t****e keer in korte tijd naar de Manzo suite. De eerste keer was goed bevallen. Wij boekten daarom dezelfde kamer inclusief ontbijt net zoals bij ons eerste bezoek. Helaas stonden we niet op de lijst voor het ontbijt. Met het gevolg dat we een half uur bezig waren te bewijzen dat we ervoor hebben betaald. De manager werd geraadpleegd en ondertussen vertelde de serveerster ons een verhaal van een gast die ook zei geboekt te hebben inclusief ontbijt, maar dat bleek niet waar. Iedereen kon meegenieten van of we wel of tegen extra betaling een ontbijt konden krijgen. Uiteindelijk bleek dat we gelijk hadden. Dus eindelijk kregen we ons ontbijt, alleen niet wat een van ons besteld had. Wij vinden dit heel slordig en het heeft ons verblijf behoorlijk verpest. Wij komen daarom niet meer terug.

Helaas was dit een tegenvaller. Als verrassing had ik mijn vrouw meegenomen voor ons 10-jarig huwelijk om geen oog dicht te kunnen doen. Onze kamer (loft 2) lag naast een aantal nachtclubs die tot 5u ‘s ochtends doorgingen en dit was (door de oordopjes heen) zeer goed hoorbaar…. Het is dan extra vervelend dat er geen nacht receptie of telefoonnummer is dir je dan kan bellen. Idee van de kamers is goed, maar voor dit bedrag wil je ook kunnen slapen
