Shangde Nyima is an excellent hotel! Every staff is so kind, genuine and helpful! The rooms are warm, clean and so comfortable for people like us not suited for the harsh climate. Mr Chodak the manager is a wonderful man and the front desk staff have a lot of initiative and always tried their best to help us. Most of all, we love the kitchen crew - Tsering, Sonam, Tashi and young Sonam… they prepared delicious food (what we had was ‘zimbuduk’) for us. Tujiche, Shangde Nyima! We will miss you but we will return to see all of you again!❤️

We stayed twice on route to Valley of the Cats and back. Had on site parking, friendly staff, nice warm and comfy room with elevator and standard Chinese or ******* breakfast. Right in the heart of town close to the museum and some bars/restaurants and the temple shops

Good location for shopping and dinning everything can by walk.
I stay 2 night and the guest is very noisy at 11pm.
They will photo you and to fill another government form.

Deluxe room was very spacious, especially compared to standard room which feels cramped. Recommend booking this.
Parking can be very busy.
