TRAVELODGE YORK CENTRAL LAYERTHORPE

Me and my partner had an excellent stay at this hotel. Its in a great location, has free parking and is very quiet. Recommend to anyone visiting York :) i will be back

Travelodge is a nice and clean hotel with an good evening restaurant and breakfast. Pleasant staff. We stayed for two nights, and had a good time. The only issue was a tiny bed, and I had to ask for an extra duvet as I don't like the double ones. That was not a problem, the staff fixed it pretty quickly. If you come by car there's a big car park just outside, and there's a Costa coffee and grocery shop next door. We walked to the city in 10 minutes, and took the bus to the train staion just outside the hotel.

Check-in was simple, staff were helpful, room was nice and clean everything was just perfect and very close to th city centre

Free on-site parking 10 minutes walk from the main shopping area reliable Wi-Fi. Window opened so great to get some fresh air on a warm day. Duvet too thick for summer? Fairly new hotel, very clean, plenty of sockets/USB points and aremovable showerhead

I was allocated Room 3 , on the ground floor opposite the door leading to the lift and stairs. The room itself was perfectly clean, bed good, everything I needed. It was the other hotel guests that were the problem. I was woken several times during the night by others going to the lift and stairs. Some people have no idea how loud they are at 1.30 in the morning. And 5.40 in the morning too. Breakfast was very good. Just avoid Room 3!

Basic room but clean, comfy and bright. Staff very welcoming and friendly and the bar/cafe was very nice. Just a short walk into the city centre for sightseeing with the benefit of parking. Can be a bit noisy from the road with the window open. Don’t know why Travelodge makes you pay for WiFi though! Would stay again a very well kept hotel.
