I had a wonderful stay at the Holiday Inn in York. The location is unbeatable—perfectly situated near the city center, making it easy to explore all the historic attractions. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, always ready to assist with any request. Their excellent service made my visit even more enjoyable. Highly recommended for anyone visiting York!

Quite a distance to walk to the city centre. Water heater system was down half way through my shower. It was freezing cold. Response from reception was rather unfriendly when inquired.

Great! The services is patient and nice. Our room is clean and warm.

The location is good and a walking distance to key places of interest. The room were clean and services were good. However, there is need to improve where dinner is served as it is just like in the reception area with chairs and tables not meant for dinner. The first day looked like there was less preparation for guests as other guests together with us were frustrated after making orders only to wait too long to be told that the choice was not available. Otherwise the staff are sociable and ready to help and serve.

Great location, 5 mins walk to city centre, york castle etc. Rooms were comfortable and decently clean. Family of 4 (2 adults and 2 young children) in a double bed and sofa bed. Rooms are small but not an issue as we were out most of the day. Only gripe was that the lift was out of service for the duration of our stay and there is only 1 lift. It was a hassle going up and down with my young children, we had a double stroller which was 10kg, thankfully hotel staff offered to keep in the baggage area on the lobby.

Price is worth for this location! Room is big, clean and seems newly renovated.

The only point I would raise is that we booked a stay for the family, 4 of us, but the reservation was showing only a small 2 people room. We were a bit crammed in and had a bit of a squashed space and unconfortable night. Still, not too bad... Reception staff were kind and well trained to help us. Breakfast was fine too.

Cold and noisy, the widow couldn't closed and really noisy near the street

Very convenient location in York, near different tourist spots. The receptionist is super nice, provided us the map and some guide after knowing that it was the first time we visit York.

A hotel is good and location is in central, have different type of breakfast . Walking to station is about 15 minutes

The elevator was broken, and the door card could not be swiped, and I was trapped outside the door in the middle of the night and had to climb down the fifth floor to find the day before yesterday to re-apply for the card, and after climbing up, I found that I still couldn't open the door！At 4a.m.！
