Long Beach Motor Inn

We have been going to the long beach area in York Maine for decades and obviously being blind to the fact that you really can be treated the way you should be at a resort. We frequented the Anchorage at Long Sands a couple of weeks a year for decades until we just could not any longer put up with the stereotypical way you are treated these days with rude people around us and the establishment not willing to take care of the issues that affected us. Once we walked away and went next door and met Gary and Susan Grossman at Longbeach Motor Inn, we knew right away that our vacationing at Long Sands was changed for ever. Feeling like our comfort and happiness actually means something to someone. You make reservations, you show up, you check in and begin to relax and enjoy life. My wife and I work hard and look forward to peace and quiet. At Longbeach Motor Inn you will accomplish just that. You get what you need. No they don't have king size beds, no the don't have a jacuzzi, no they don't have room service and no they probably don't have some things that other resorts offer but what they do have is the whole package that real people with real expectations would need. Comfort, quiet, affordability and most of all respect from people that work harder than you do to accomplish a desirable vacation stay that you are looking for and deserve. My wife and I leave Longbeach Motor Inn and every time we just can't wait to return. It may not be for all but it is surely for anyone that requires more than a loud overbearing place that leaves you wanting more from what you lacked. Rest, relaxation, quiet and comfort. Beautiful property set directly across from the sparkling blue ocean. Gary and Sue are amazing, caring and hospitable hosts. From the lush greenery to the crystal clear swimming pool, we loved every minute of our stay and can't wait to return. Karen & Eric

We had an excellent experience at the Long Beach Motor Inn. The room was very clean and organized with a kitchenette. The owners were friendly and helpful. Very good location across street from the ocean. As well there are several restaurants nearby. At this Inn, there is a swimming pool. In general, a nice environment and a safe area. Will definitely visit this place again.

This was our first time here, and I was sooo amazed how clean and nice everything was for a long time established Long Beach Motel. It was so convenient to walk across the street to the beach, with a nice view of the Nubble Lighthouse in the distance. We went down to short sands and enjoyed the beach for the 2nd day. You could also enjoy long sands too. There are 2 deli stores on Long Beach for your convenience. In the morning many ppl are out walking the beach and some have their dogs on beach before 9. The hotel is quiet and inviting. The owner Gary, is very helpful, and you can tell he takes extreme pride in his property. Everything is so meticulously perfect. The pool is gorgeous, and is in the back surrounded by adorable gazebos with a table and chairs to eat lunch. The beautiful lawns and flowers are so pretty and welcoming. We stayed on the ground floor and felt very safe. I felt very comfortable sitting outside late at night listening to the waves. The room was all newly painted and wallpapered. The windows were updated, and had am air-conditioning. I d dare you to find any dust or any dirt! There is none! The high beds are very comfortable to sleep on. I saw a few negative reviews but Gary would be happy to correct anything wrong with your room so you have a pleasant stay. If you want a nice quaint, clean, safe,beautiful motel cross the road from the beach, you ve found your place.

This is our 48th year going to York, ME and our third year staying at Long Beach Motor Inn. So very grateful for finding this Motel when we had to change places to stay. Gary and his fiancé Susan make you feel right at home. The place is very clean, well priced and right across the road from the beach. What more can you ask for. We would highly recommend this place to anyone.
