My husband and I stayed at Batihan in September 2025 for six days. The hotel has a very good location, close to the famous Pamukkale, which I highly recommend, and Ephesus, which is also worth a visit. Kusadasi city center is a 30-minute bus ride away. The location is 10/10. The food at the hotel was good but boring; each day the dishes were very similar, made from the previous day. There's a wide selection of food. The snack bars by the pool don't open until lunchtime, so there's nothing to eat between breakfast and dinner. Ice cream isn't available until 1 p.m. This should be improved. Children's slides open twice a day for an hour. The hotel interior, including the rooms, needs renovation. The elevators are very old and small. The rooms were painted long ago, and the bathrooms need renovation. They're clean, but they look dirty. The entertainment staff is great. You won't be bored with them. The evening entertainment is great. I highly recommend the Ayurveda Spa located in the hotel. The prices are very good and adequate for the services. I recommend Juni and Samira, two wonderful masseuses, who do a wonderful job. Overall, I recommend this hotel for a week-long trip. The people working in the hotel do their job very well but the hotel needs a complete renovation, it is old.

I’m only giving this resort 2 stars because most of the hotel staff were friendly and made us feel welcome. This holiday is being advertised as 4star and it is 3 star at best. The lack of hygiene, poor food quality, sewage smell due to a sewage pipe running along the beach, stray feral cats some of which are clearly unwell running around the restaurant area and dirty rooms, toilets and pool area make this the ideal storm for getting ill on holiday. We got to know 4 families during our 10 days at the Batihan and everyone had at between 1-4 people who got sick. My husband was ill with diarrhoea on day 2, my son with sickness and diarrhoea of day 7 and I managed to make it home today with stomach pain and now have it too. The floor in the room had other peoples hairs all over it on arrival, no hand soap in the dispenser and smelt horrendous. My son’s bed camping style was so creaky he had to sleep on a mattress on the floor. The toilet was stained yellow from other peoples urine. Housekeeping waved a mop around the floor and regularly neglected to provide toilet rolls so we had to go to the shops to buy a bumper pack. On our first day someone has been sick across the corridor floor 2 doors down and it was still there an hour later when we came back to the room. The food was like warm, over cooked and left out for at least an hour before the restaurant opened. When it did open there were way too many people tripping over each other to get to the food as there was barely any room. Staff wear rubber gloves which I’m sure protects them but isn’t hygienic for customers where they’re less likely to wash their hands as often. There was a housekeeper looking after the pool area who would wear gloves, sort out the bins and then put his finger into your cup before saying “finished” well we obviously have now you’ve put your fingers in it! Customers are permitted to put their feet up on the chairs in the lobby with shoes on, again adding to hygiene problems. The Spa staff asked for me to pay for my massage up front when booking two days before the appointment. When I went to say I wasn’t happy doing this in case I got sick as my son was unwell the manager and receptionist were incredibly rude and told me to cancel, I didn’t book in again. The worst holiday we have ever been on! Avoid! The only good thing was the animation team who were so friendly and accommodating. Coco and Ruym in particular are lovely people.

After reading some reviews I was actually in 2 minds weather to change hotels but on arrival I was pleasantly surprised , the hotel was clean and tidy, our room was ready on arrival on the 7th floor it was nice and airy a nice view of the pool and sea All the staff were lovely and couldn’t do enough for you I cannot praise them all from our cleaner to the bar staff to the restaurant We loved the sunset bar and restaurant too Would definitely come back Thanks for a lovely holiday

Reading other reviews I am very confused at the completely different experience we had. Rooms and hotel is extremely clean but dated as mentioned, but the food was absolutely shocking, as in almost inedible. Repetitive food, and almost always cold as in stone cold, even if you arrive at the beginning of breakfast/dinner sessions. Cold and undercooked eggs. Watery pasta. Cold casseroles. The a la carte was infinitely worse somehow, cold prawns and meat? Had to eat out most days otherwise would’ve gone hungry for 10 days - brilliant restaurant down past the beach by the supermarket. Beer and cocktails outside not great, better in the lobby bar. Was sold as a 4* hotel but would be a mid 3* in my opinion. Cats are EVERYWHERE. Not uncommon when travelling in Europe but the cats are in the kitchen area? in the dining area, and domesticated to the point of jumping on tables and customers while eating. Can’t see how this meets food safety standards. One positive stand out is the staff. Very friendly and entertaining, even towards the end of the season. Take the time to learn guests names and interact with them, getting everyone involved. Bus goes from outside into town for 25 Lira (around 25c per person). Seafront is nice, lovely view but not a beach per say, more a deck with loungers infront of the sea. Overall would not recommend, unless you’re on a hen do/stag do/ young partiers looking for a lively resort with free beer and happy to live on chips and chicken nuggets for the week. Supposedly being turned into a 5* but would have to see entirely new restaurant set up and major updates to the rooms if that’s to be fallible.
