I usually review via Google but to fit this in it needs to be on Tripadvisor. We recently stayed at the Sentido Marillia Resort & Spa for a week. The hotel has/is still undergoing renovation. Overall, the hotel was okay but should be very good once getting going properly. Currently it’s only just fit for guests. I’ll give my honest and fair review here. Location: The hotel fronts the beach for Yasmine Hammamet looking out into the Gulf of Hammamet. The hotel is a great location for excursions to the north and south of the country taking equal times for north and south. The hotel is only a 10-15 minute walk from the Medina and other local attractions such as Carthage Land. 5/5 Reception and Greeting: Check-in took our passports and told us to get food. Fair enough, but it was midnight and we wanted the room straight away. They gave us the key card and asked us to wait for a staff member to guide us to the room because ‘they have been having issues and the staff member needs to check the room with you to make sure all is well’ – they also reminded us that if we needed money there was a cash machine, odd but this makes sense in a moment. The check-in did not provide us with any information on where things in the hotel were but did at least let us know restaurant times. The bell boy then took our suitcases to our room. The bell boy took the cases into the room and stood looking around at the ceiling, not to check for issues, they demanded a tip, my response was I have no cash right now (I’m not pulling cash out the ATM to tip the bell boy). After tapping his pockets/jiggling change I had to pull out my wallet to show I did not have cash. We used reception a few times, overall, pretty good. Exchange rate is 1GBP – 3.937D: 98.4% Excellent!! On check-out we gave the key but did not get a thank you for staying or questioned about out stay so no chance to provide feedback on the room. My feedback to the reception team is to welcome guests, ask about their stay. I also recommend giving guests information on what the hotel has to offer, a small pack or similar – perhaps put this in the room and make a magazine with local attractions and obtain sponsors from local bars, locations etc. Maybe even information on your other hotels. They did provide us a room to use for a shower due to late departure from the hotel, this was greatly appreciated. That room flooded too, but not as much. 3/5 Rooms: We stayed in a twin room with a sea view. Rooms are spacious with large beds, sofa, desk, air con, and other amenities. However, they are not completely as shown in the images. Some of the decorations are missing. They have been thrown together too quickly to get the hotel open. The desk in our room (102) was already hanging down from the wall. The shower took too long to warm up by which point the floor was flooded with water - the floor is flat with no sealant around the shower. The water pools and leaks into the bathroom. We had a great time at Sentido Marillia for a weeks stay, it has everything we needed from good food & drinks, amazing weather and an amazing animation team (especially FiFi, Rio & Marcelo), who were always so kind and never pushy for you to join in the activities but always made the days brighter and more fun. All other staff within the bars and restaurants were friendly and accommodating too. I would say sunbeds were reserved very early by people but we always asked the team for any sunbeds they may have and we were brought one over. The were a few problems with the rooms due to the recent renovation which included a few bathroom leaks from the shower and casing not finished on plugs but once these were raised, they were dealt with as efficiently as they could and Mouna was amazing at sorting and communicating with us as well as giving excellent service. There was sometimes noisy construction due to rooms being finished but this wasn't noticeable around the restaurants or main pool areas. Overall, it was a fantastic week and would highly recommend visiting!

Just got back from 11 days here and have got to say we have had an amazing holiday. Yes we did have our issues …. Moved room or with bar staff but these were dealt with swiftly! The staff are amazing going from Fifi, Fati, mimu, Aladdin, Rio and all the animation staff. To Muhammad in the restaurant. Moana who is guest relations is amazing and never stops! Bar staff could do with abit more training but in all we had an amazing time! The food was amazing and we found something every day. The room was spot on….. only thing I missed was a mirror on the dressing table but everything else amazing! Can’t wait to come see you all in September xx

We had s fantastic week which we wish was longer. We arrived before check-in and were provided with a welcome drink then given a tour of the hotel. We had been given our wristbands so were able to have lunch. That was when we were 1st introduced to the incredible service the staff provide. They could not do enough for you. Getting drinks clearing the table and just generally being fantastic. The restaurant was amazing so much choice, stand outs, the fresh fish meat and pasta cooking stations and the pizzas. There were queues but if you timed it right you got served quickly. The desserts were incredible so many different things spoilt for choice. Once we checked in on first entering the room it was a real wow, we had a sea/pool view and the room had been renovated. However on closer inspection there were a few issues, you could tell it had been rushed to be ready which was a shame because it was lovely. The main issue was the bathroom, the shower screen was only a half one and as the floor was flat the water just ran out across the whole floor. We reported it straight away with a couple of other issues and Mouna was on it straight away. They did a temp fix but it still happened, but as the pool towels were changed every day we would put them on the floor to soak up any water. We never had any issues getting beds by the pool, you had the usual people who were up at the crack of dawn reserving them then going out all day! There were signs saying you couldn't and after an hour things would be removed, didn't see this myself but heard it did happen. Just chat to the pool guys and give them a tip and they will look after you all week. Shout out to Mourad! Plenty of beds on the beach too. Hit and miss if you got a waiter to get you drinks by the pool and on the beach. Some of them tended to have favourites guess they tipped big! We never normally tend to get involved in any of the activities but the animation team were fantastic best we've ever come across. They didn't hassle or invade ur privacy and were just fun to talk to and have a laugh. Fifi Aladin Rio Riva thank you for making our holiday special we miss you all 💗. Biggest thanks goes to our waiter for the week Monastar, the word star is in you're name because you truly are one, we cannot thank you enough for everything you did for us, I still get tear in my eye when I think about what you did us on our last night. We cannot wait to return and hopefully the teething problems they have had will all be sorted and it truly proves it's 4 star rating.

The rooms are cleaned, beds are made and towels changed every day. The staff are very helpful and could not do enough for you. The food is fresh, well cooked and very tasty. There is a different variety of food for everybody. The beds are comfortable in the room as well as the sunbeds outside. The pool is cleaned everyday as well as the grounds. They have pool staff to help you find beds and set up parasols for you where you need them. They have waiters around the pool and in the restaurants to bring you drinks and seat you at a table for your whole party. I really cannot fault this hotel or their staff.

Currently staying at the hotel and we love it! Really good value and 99% of the staff are really friendly and helpful. The food is probably the best I have had at any all inclusive hotel and has lots of individual cooking stations every night including pizza, pasta, stir fry, sushi, burgers, meat, fish etc . Breakfasts also has fresh orange juice, pancakes, waffles, freshly cooked poached eggs and omelettes and much more.. Sunbeds are limited but yet to fail to find one and the lifeguards are very helpful in finding you space Our room is very clean and the bedding and pillows are very comfy…. Would definitely return if I get the opportunity
