One of the best and most beautiful hotels I have ever stayed. Super frindly staff, most beautiful renovation of ols sugar factory in an incredibly beautiful location

Probably one of the most beautiful hotels I've stayed at. The lush mountains and river. The service is really good too.location is perfect too, close g to most scenic sights. However, the western food needs improvement, the pasta was really oily, the burger was overcooked and dry. Also, the noise level from trucks on the main road can be heard in the bedrooms. And sometimes can be quite loud.

Very good experience with stay. In particular, the photographer of the hotel has to be professional, which has left me with a good memory. Thank you so much to sugar house. See you again

Really enjoyed this gem in Yangshuo. Wish the pool were heated so we could have enjoyed it year round! The architecture is charming and filled with sugar filled history. Breakfast was delicious!

Excellent hotel unlike any other that I’ve ever stayed at. The location is truly unique. A reformed sugar mill set against the backdrop of a majestic mountain view, a beautiful blend of traditional design with modern architecture. Really enjoyed hotel amenities - breakfast and photoshoot options were all great experiences.

Really nice relaxing stay! Everyone was really nice, Sarah was a really nice concierge and helped with activities and all the bar staff/ restaurant staff were particularly good! Shout out to Tom and his bar team for some really nice cocktails. Perfect stay to relax from hiking or just to enjoy the amenities, the modern retro architecture is so great to walk around and the private area by the river is nice to get away from the hustle and bustle !

We had a wonderful time at Yang Shuo Sugar House. The architecture of the property was breathtaking. Everywhere you look was so interesting. My favourite part was at night time when they would shine the lights on a mountain with their hotel name and a clear view of the stars. The service was impeccable. The receptionist was welcoming and helpful.  Our room was comfortable and clean. We loved the bathtub and spacious shower.  We also had a complimentary photo shoot, yoga Class, welcome drinks for our family. We loved the pictures! We hope to return again to beautiful Yang Shuo ❤️

We booked 2 nights as arrival was late. The place was a very good experience for us as it was at the foot of the mountain, historic sugar mill site and has a pier. We went for the Bamboo rafting (motorised kind) along the Li river, and their sugar candy morning activity. The chefs in sugar house also prepared very tasty and unique food. The morning tai chi was refreshing too! Kids room has slide and kids were happy.

Amazing location, peaceful, great pool area. Hotel staff very helpful. Food is also very good. 5 stars for sure. Only comment I have are that they may want to extend the hours of Chinese food at the restaurant (stops at 9pm at dinner)

It was amazing to stay here, everything was so perfect the design , food, nature around the hotel . Stuff was really kind and helpful, thanks to Cindy for helping us in all questions. We will come back soon ♥️

Simply the most excellent hotel and resort I ever been in outside of Las Vegas. The staff are incredible. I don’t think they know the word “No”. Highly recommended to anyone! For foreigners, it would help to go with a Chinese speaking companion.

Outstanding stay in an outstanding location. The service was wonderful, the breakfast buffet excellent, the hotel has a great little gym, and the architecture and the views never get old. We could have spent months admiring the buildings, the river and the mountains surrounding them. A very special mention goes to the wonderful staff; always smiley and friendly and who took great care of us. We were sad to leave but look forward to travelling back here one day. 10 star rating all round!

Spectacular architecture and location. The hotel staff is professional and help wherever they can. As an english speaking tourist, the service and hospitality was out of this world! This is a must see location. Thanks to Joslin for taking such good care of us.
