Yangshuo Mengyuan Shanju Hotel (Xingping Ancient Town Branch)

We spent 3 lovely days at this hotel in Xingping and I am so happy I found this place to stay. We needed a place 1-2 minutes away from the busy streets and we found it. The hotel is very peaceful and close to many restaurants. The owners are amazing and treated us so well. When we arrived the owner gave us detailed information about all places to see in the area, how to go there, pin on the map, and everything we needed to plan our days there. He made it so easy for us. I can tell the property is very well organised and clean with a lot of love and care. The room itself was very spacious, very clean (I have high hygienic standards coming from Europe) and this made us feel so comfortable from the beginning. The view from the room is just amazing as you can see from the pictures. We enjoyed sitting on the soft chairs on the floor and watch the mountains outside. The area was very calm and quiet and we slept really well. We already miss this place. We will be back next time we are in Yangshuo. Thank you so much for taking such good care of us🙏🏼

We can’t recommend this hotel enough! It’s managed by the nicest family. When we arrived, they explained all the nearby activities in English and helped us book a bamboo raft tour at a discounted price. They also rent scooters for only 20 RMB per day, including helmets. Although we arrived late, we could still have dinner at their restaurant next door — delicious homemade food at very reasonable prices. Our room, which was priced like a dormitory, was actually huge, with super comfortable tatami beds, and we slept so well in total silence. The ensuite bathroom had a dry and wet separation and was crystal clean. There are also free water dispensers available in the hotel. The best surprise came in the morning when we opened the curtains and saw the stunning view of the karst mountains! There’s also a lovely rooftop terrace above the restaurant with passion fruit trees, and the owners even offered us some to taste — it was so sweet! The owners speak a little English and are incredibly kind, always taking time to explain everything with Google Translate. Overall, we still can’t believe the amazing value for such a stylish hotel and 5-star service. Highly recommended!
