Staff were very helpful with new customs of a Japanese style hotel, despite the language barrier. Good food and a western style breakfast available. The garden is a wonderful oasis and the ones was very enjoyable.

JR 車步行到酒店都不過是10~15分鐘, 好容易找到. 正門對著交通燈位. 擁有300年歷史, 好有傳統風格. 在大堂先要更換室內拖鞋, 而外出時服務員會即時拿出客人的鞋給你更換. 整個建築物已經好有欣賞價值, 有一個正統的日式庭園, 池內養了好多錦鯉魚, 還看到好靚的楓葉.我們房間露台就可以欣賞到庭園, 房間內的浴室有木造的浴缸. 晚餐及早餐都在房間吃...我們的管家非常專業, 又介紹各式食品...還有免費啤酒, 可樂提供. 房間中央位置有電暖氈, 厚厚綿被及暖氣...不過離開這範就會非常凍...此終是舊建築物, 當時技術未有那麼先進. 溫泉池地方不大, 但風呂有二個, 好靚好舒服. 早晚男女湯對換. 酒店過馬路直行有一間"狐狸之足跡"值得推介

雖然是超過三百年的旅館，但硬體設施維護的非常好，房間、溫泉浴池都很新穎乾淨，服務人員親切有禮，下次去湯田溫泉，松田屋還是我的首選。

歴史を感じる旅館です。建物自体が古いですが、それも一つの味わう所では？と思います。明治維新の歴史が好きな方はぜひ！

房間日式很大，進入酒店大堂須換拖鞋，整個酒店潔靜幽雅舒適，酒店帶温泉，悠久歷史的店。早餐分日式和西式，二選一。

One day was not enough to explore all the sights of Yamaguchi City, and one night was not enough to enjoy the Matsudaya Hotel! Staff were welcoming, attentive and helpful. A useful info sheet and hotel map were provided. I had a spacious, well-designed and aesthetically pleasing twin room with a view of rooftops, mountains, and part of the beautiful, historic garden. There were two lounge chairs with a small table, a mini fridge, safe, tv, and lots of clothes storage space. Wi-fi was good. A proper tea-making and serving kit, plus an attractive yukata and comfy socks were appreciated. A pair of Ouchi Ningyo dolls, a Yamaguchi speciality, made a lovely adornment. The hotel is in the heart of the lively Yuda Onsen hot springs area which dates from the Muromachi era. I took a walk in the evening and there was plenty happening. The hotel's garden is lit in the evening so you can also enter it then. Leading activists working towards the demise of the Tokugawa shogunate and restoration of imperial rule used to meet there. On the way in or out, you can browse in the hotel's nice gift and souvenir shop. I didn't try the meals as I hadn't booked those ahead. The onsen are open all night. Thank you very much, I'm hoping to stay again in future!

If you would like to enjoy/experience typical high-end Japanese ryokan. You never regret choosing this hotel. The excellent dinner (I chose fugu-kaiseki) is offered at the individual dining rooms with great privacy. You enjoy quiet moment at their beautiful Japanese garden where many carps. People are very kind and attentive. I had a very impressive time there.

沢山の鯉が行き届いて飼育されていて、ていれもきちんとした日本庭園の情緒ある旅館でした。館内のスタッフの気遣いも行き届いていて、素晴らしいです。しかし、他の方も口コミされていますが、このクラスのホテルで「極」のお食事であったのに、お料理や仕出しサービスはがっかりで、疑問が残るものでした。使ってある食材はさることながら、あまり手がかかっていなさそうな調理が多く、懐石でしたらもう一手間一工夫欲しいところです。お新香はHotto Mottoのお弁当についてきそうなものだし、デザートも手抜きでした。料理だけでかなり価値を下げ、もったいないと感じました。

フロントも食事係の方も適度にフレンドリーで感じが良い。部屋数が多くない上にバカ騒ぎする酔客や団体客もいないので安心して過ごすことが出来る。 部屋風呂が二つもあるし大浴場や貸し切り風呂も何個かありどれも清潔を保っている。 ちょっとでも汚い箇所があると大浴場は使わず部屋風呂だけになるけれどこちらは掃除が行き届いているから汚いところが苦手の当方も利用出来た。 タオルが浴場に無いホテルも嫌いなのでその点でも安心できた。 お料理も質量ともに不満の無い数少ないホテル。

新館のツイン部屋を利用しました。歴史のある宿だけに対応や部屋の作りなどにノウハウが感じられました。温泉も素晴らしく、特に維新の風呂は他の温泉に無い情緒が有り是非お勧めしたい温泉風呂です。これだけ完璧だとついつい料理も期待してしまいますが、料理はごく普通で、少し残念な気がしました。勿論、普通と言ってもそれなりの料理で美味しく頂きましたが、顧客のわがままで言わせて頂ければ、今一つこだわりと言うか歴史ある宿ならではの料理内容を期待してしまいました。

前泊の鞆の浦からの移動です。 300年以上も前からある宿です。明治維新の志士たちが利用した宿でも有名なようです。 今回は新館の方に泊まりましたが、空きがあれば本館のお庭横の1階に宿泊したかったと思います。お料理は孫の意見で、お肉中心のにしてもらいましたが特にこれはと思えるものはありませんでしたが普通に美味しかったです。 素敵なお庭も散策できて鯉に餌をあげることもできます。 お庭では足湯も楽しめてゆったりできます。 一番印象に残ったのは正面玄関横の駐車場です。 こちらへどうぞ！と言われても門が立派すぎてこすったら車よりも高そうな門！ スタッフの方にお願いしましたら、見事な運転さばきで駐車してくれました。 裏には広い駐車場もあります。 秋吉台にも近いので便利でもあります。
