This was my first time staying at a Sheraton property in Xiamen, and unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing.
During breakfast, I was asked to leave the dining area because I was wearing the hotel-provided slippers. I was told that these slippers are unsafe and could cause me to fall. If that is the case, I am confused as to why such slippers are provided in the first place—should I fall in the room instead of the common areas?
After changing into proper shoes and returning to the restaurant, I noticed several other guests were still wearing the same slippers without issue. If the policy is not applied consistently to all guests, it raises questions about fairness and your adherence to service standards, including your commitment to ISO practices.
Additionally, when I visited the swimming pool, your staff insisted that I must purchase a pool cap for RMB 49 in order to swim. If using the pool requires an additional charge, then it is misleading to claim that the swimming pool is a complimentary hotel facility.
Overall, I felt very disappointed by the service and approach towards guests. I hope you will take this feedback seriously and work to improve the guest experience in the future.
