I had a few problems at the hotel, but my overall experience was ok. The staff were super kind and willing to help. The first issue was with the air conditioning. I’d put the temperature on 20°C (which is the lowest, according to the staff), but it never reached that, the lowest it got on the room was 24°C. If you like a cooler place, maybe that’s not a great option for you. The second one was with the shower. On my second day there, I went to take a shower around 7:40 am and it was super hot, the water wouldn’t cool down no matter what, when I turned the tap to cold, the water would stop. I was quite in a hurry that day, so I didn’t want to waste time talking to the staff about it and ended up not inquiring about this issue. Another con is that there is no minibar in the room, which would’ve been pretty helpful to preserve food (since the hotel doesn’t provide breakfast), especially with the air conditioning problem. The lightning is also kind of bad, so the rooms is a bit dark. The pros are the location of the hotel, which is pretty good, right next to a subway station, and the staff. Once I arrived, they sent welcoming snacks to my room. If you can’t speak mandarin or don’t understand what they’re saying, they’ll do their best to talk to you, even if it requires the use of a translator app. The hotel provides an afternoon tea and a night snack daily.
