Novotel Xi`an The Bell Tower Hotel anmeldelser

Our stay was pleasant until the checkout experience, which left us deeply disappointed. When we approached the reception desk to check out, the receptionist was rude and unprofessional. He spoke in Chinese, which we couldn’t understand, and repeatedly mentioned the app Trip.com. When I showed him my Trip.com booking, he took my phone without permission and went straight to the hotel review section, clicking “all excellent” ratings on my behalf. We were shocked by this behavior and immediately told him that as a receptionist, it is inappropriate and unethical to fill out a guest’s review. This incident ruined an otherwise enjoyable stay, and we hope the management takes this feedback seriously to improve their staff’s professionalism.

A modern hotel, with comfortable rooms and good breakfast. The hotel is situated in the heart of historical part of Xian. The Bell Tower is in two minutes walk from the hotel. The metro station is also very close to the hotel. The best location for tourists.

Excellent location! Hotel staff is helpful, friendly and responsive to our special request as we needed some more space in our room. Near mrt (subway bell tower station) and many shops and eateries are within walking distance. Shops and eateries open till 12midnight.

Great hotel! Location: near to metro station and the landmark bell tower, walking distance to Huimingjie, day tour bus drop us at the metro exit right outside the hotel. Room: clean Breakfast: good varieties in western and Chinese style breakfast! Service: good service

The location is good and nearby to a lot of attraction, walkable, the service is also good where suitable for stay if you come to Xian. Near to a lot of eatery place and even arrived after mid night there are still stalls around to have quick bites.

A very nice and new hotel in a very good location. All the staff have been friendly and helpful. Special thanks also to Stellar Hang and the man with eyeglasses in the reception for their kind assistance. This hotel is to be recommended

I was able to borrow adaptor to charge my mobile phone. They also gave me face mask when mine ran out. Upon check out, we were given complimentary cookies

2nd stay in a month. As mentioned earlier; supposedly a hotel with smoke-free rooms but we still encountered cigarette smell whenever we stepped into the restrooms located in the lobby area and even see randomly discarded cigarette butt at our lift lobby bin. Feedback previously was noted by hotel staff but I guess smoking on premises are fairly common and do not seem to be once-off incident.

Location: Great - right behind Exit H Zhonglou metro station, across the road from Luomashi walking street and comfortable 10min walk to Bell Tower, Drum Tower & Muslim Quarter esp if you cut through the eateries to the right after you exit the hotel. Rooms: Lovely, spacious and comfortable. Toilet had a bidet. Huge TV but no English Channel and couldn’t cast shows from our phone. No view. We also had problems with the smell of smoke. The staff were quick to attend to it but they could only spray the room and once that dissipated the smoke smell was back. Hotel: There was a booth that offered airport transfers from the hotel for just 30yuan per person. The staff were pleasant but I think the most disappointing thing for me as a foreigner who isn’t able to speak Chinese was the lack of any English speaking staff. This to me is more of an Accor problem though. I had booked with Accor, a global brand, with expectations that there would be at least some English-speaking staff and at least one English TV channel (which our other more local hotels in Beijing had). Still overall good stay and I’d recommend it to anyone who can speak Chinese.

The location is superb. The staff are very helpful and friendly, despite the language barrier. The quality of the room and beds is excellent. The only major concern I had was with the speed of the internet connection. It was very slow, 3 to 6Mbps, and that did not allow me to attend my online meetings. The breakfast is good but I would have appreciated more varieties. I felt it was limited in terms of choices, so I often skipped it although paid for it.

Location is very good and within walking distance to the bell tower, 回民街, metro station, food and shopping streets. Staff is friendly, helpful and provide good service. However, room has a cigarette smell although it is a non smoking room. We stayed 5 nights here and breakfast is the same everyday, so don't expect too much as not much food variety. Lastly, would like to thank 小贾 and 小尚 for their help rendered during our stay. 👍🏼

Staff are super friendly and helpful. They assisted me on my needs immediately tho WeChat. Hotel is near metro exit. Lots of food around the hotel. Will stay again!
