Yaman Oriental Courtyard Hotel(Xi'an Big Wild Goose Pagoda Datang Evernight City

Continued from my other post. I am trying my best to give good comments. But other than the location is really good, and nice hallway, the rest are just sub par. We ordered many taobao orders sent to this hotel. The rude receptionist guided us to just write the delivery hotel name as Yaman Hotel only. Though the address we put are correct, many of our parcels were sent to another Yamen Hotel with the same name different address. When asked what to do, she didn’t nothing and tried to avoid us. Also I have parcels to sent out, as a singaporean, I am unsure on how to do it. The receptionist just vaguely guided me, I specifically told her I will pay the delivery fee up front so the receiver won’t have to pay, she guided me to select the options, end up 3 times in the roll, the receiver has to pay for the delivery fee. Quite embarrassing for my part. I have to point out, throughout the guidance, she is very nonchalant, avoided talking as much as possible, ignore you when she can. I do not want to pint point her name, but the rest of the other receptionists are along the same line. Just a fun note, they will be nice to you when they find the chance to ask you give good comments. The last day when we check out, the receptionist changed their attitude 360. I was shocked. What comes after is, they ask you to give good comments. And they want you to write in front of them. I find this behavior very forceful. Our stay here was met with really sub par services. There are many hotel nearby that you can consider staying. We paid for the top few most expensive rooms here. Service are questionable.

We checked in at 2am. There were one person at the reception and another bellhop at his 60s. Other than then 60s bellhop was friendly greeting us, the receptionist has no chill or whatsoever to welcome us. We have 6 luggages and our rooms can’t be accessed by just a lift directly. This hotel failed to mention that all these rooms can only be accessed by different flight of stairs and elevator. This particular large room can only be accessed by 3 different flights of stairs at different location. There is this particular stairs we have to climb down to our room, has no lights, we have to use our own phone torch. At first we were told it’s their procedure to switch off the stairs light after 12am. After complaints, they decided to switch it on for the rest of our stays. Throughout we carried our luggages our self to the room as the bellhop is old, we were afraid we gave him too much stress. Room wise, the tv, living room, wardrobe arrangement has no common sense at all. 2 tvs each facing the bed. The living room has no tv, so if you wanna chill and watch tv with your family, go to your bed and watch. There is only one wardrobe at the living room blocked by the sofa. You have to squeeze in to hang your jacket. There is no coffee cups or spoon. I stir my coffee with their tooth brush provided in a Champaign glass. You might ask why a Champaign glass, because the room service just doesn’t wash your normal glasses after you use it. Worth mentioning, the coffee I drank in the morning, the glass is still there unwashed at night. The can of coke I left it there on the first day, was still there on the last day. Probably they think leaving it there for long will taste better. The room service is really bare min. I understand this is a garden balcony kind of hotel, like a chalet, but they should really buck up on their bellhop services and room cleaning services. It’s really tiring to walk and carry our luggages to our own room. Not to mention checking out is the same. The safety of the guest are not really taken care of given that they expect you to use your own torch to navigate down the stairs on the first day. Also, the everyday room service does not clean the bedsheets even if there are clothes tags or clothes linen on the bed. They simply pull the sheets, tuck in, as long as it looks nice, they doesn’t care about what’s on it and underneath the blanket. Just wanna say, The price we paid for this hotel is same as those nearby.

The location was perfect—close to everything we needed yet peaceful and relaxing. The room was spotless and comfortable, and the breakfast was a real highlight—fresh, delicious, and with plenty of variety. We felt truly looked after and can’t wait to return. Highly recommended!

Firstly, big thank you to the warm hotel staff for making our our visit to Xi'an a memorable one. Service is top-notch! We checked in past midnight and was greeted by Mr Lee (very warm n friendly man). He took us to our room and gave us a tour. Upon check out, he was v kind to assist us to look for our transport, which happened to be parked across the road. We were moved to the garden view room after informing the staff that our original room was a tad too stuffy. The staff assisted in transferring everything while we were away exploring the city. Superb service recovery! Hotel room is very comfortable, clean and located just minutes away from 大唐不夜城。 Stayed for 9 nights in Xi'an and we were very well taken care of. Thank you for hosting us in Xi'an. 🥰

Wonderful stay here! Once they know I have my Birthday during my trip, they gave BD cake, traditional soup and a big package of wine for BD presents. Also very helpful with pleasant services during stay. Really appreciate and highly recommend! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
