We stayed at Eastern House in Xi’an for a couple of nights, and it was a memorable experience. The hotel is conveniently located, just a 10-minute walk from most tourist attractions inside the city, like the Bell and Drum Towers. The staff were incredibly helpful and welcoming, making our stay enjoyable. The room was very spacious and comfortable, a pleasant surprise compared to other hotels.
The breakfast spread was nice with a good variety, and we also tried a few dishes from their restaurant menu. The biang biang noodles were a standout—absolutely delicious—and the other items we ordered were great too. However, finding the hotel was a bit tricky. The name on Google Maps and other apps didn’t match, so I had to call the reception for directions each time.
One disappointment was the “free” two-person guided tour to the Terracotta Army Museum included in the booking. When I checked, it turned out we had to pay for everyone, and since I wasn’t keen on a big group tour, I didn’t pursue it further. The language barrier was also a slight challenge at times. Still, I’d happily return for the location, spacious rooms, and excellent food.
