Xuegu Shanshan Hostel

One of my favorite place to stay through out my whole journey in Northeastern China. The guesthouse provides free simple breakfast during my stay and had upgraded my room to a large window view room. Non-locals may not be accustomed to the traditional kang room since there is only one layer of thin mattress lay over the hard surface. May asked for more thick blankets to layer up the bed. The guesthouse owner can help to arrange transport to and from Xuegu and the trip to Wusongling. Overall, a clean and comfortable stay with hospitable owners.

A Last-Minute Booking That Became the Best Decision This trip was quite a spontaneous one, and I spent a lot of time choosing the right place to stay before finally deciding on this one. Many people told me that Snow Valley wasn’t worth visiting, that there wasn’t much to see or do—but I felt like I had to come. And I’m so glad I did. The main reason I chose this place was because I absolutely loved the room and the view. However, leading up to the trip, I had a lot of concerns—Would the village be closed? Would the snow have melted? Would there still be activities to do? So many questions ran through my mind, especially since I was traveling near the end of the season. But the owner of the accommodation was incredibly reassuring, answering all my questions honestly and making me feel much more at ease. I arrived in the evening, and although the journey was a bit dark and quiet with not many tourists around, the warm welcome I received made up for everything. The owner and their family were beyond wonderful—so kind and genuine that words can’t fully capture how I felt. You really have to come and experience it for yourself. The next morning, I had booked an activity at Wu Song Ling, and once again, the family took such great care of me. I already know I’ll be coming back, again and again. I regret that I was so caught up in the beautiful lights and atmosphere of the hotel that I completely forgot to take photos. But next time, I’ll visit during peak season and make sure to capture every moment. Thank you so much to everyone for the amazing hospitality. Breakfast was delicious, though I woke up late and didn’t have much time to enjoy it. I truly regret staying for just one night—next time, I won’t make the same mistake. I’ll definitely stay longer!

Nice to stay at this place we are from indonesia and both of us can not speak mandarin lol but they really help us there. They give us recomandation tour and owner is realy kind and help us. Will stay again next time for sure. It's really recomanded place to stay

The owners were really helpful and hospitable. Enjoyed my stay over there. The rooms were newly renovated and have all the amenities that you would need. Preferred Xue Gu vibes than Xue Xiang. Had a few activities for the hotel guests to enjoy which was really nice of them.

來雪谷住珊珊家，灰常灰常滿意👍飯菜特別好吃😋，我想頓頓都在這兒。老闆和老闆娘都可週到了，各種事情都給考慮周全了，玩的很開心🥳客棧氛圍很好，還有舅舅姨姨之類，好像都是親戚，整得跟老家一樣。也是在小紅書看了推薦，才定了她家，又安心又開心👍

在雪谷，這家算是很不錯的，老闆服務非常熱情周到，在民宿吃了兩頓，老闆手藝還不錯，晚上帶着孩子們一起製作了糖葫蘆，院子裏的燈光也很有氛圍感，老闆幫忙預訂了馬拉爬犁，臨走還送了我們一家三口三雙雪釘，真的派上了大用場，因為我們要徒步穿越羊草山，沒有雪釘真的太滑了，一路上風景實在是太美了，雖然羊草山勇者穿越很累很累，但是最後在山頂看到了非常壯麗的景色，值了✌️
