Hotel Sofia by the Railway Station Wroclaw

Super price for such a big, clean, good location and nice view room!

First booking cancelled due to flooding danger – the Mayor stopped everything, but Sofia Hotel was like, “Refund? Never heard of it.” Second booking – stayed for 2 nights… that felt like a week. Room card? Not working. Went back to reception. Solution? An actual key – that set off an alarm every time I opened the door. Perfect way to meet all the neighbors. Returned to reception again because the aircon remote batteries were dead. I felt like I was part of a relay race. Aircon only blowing warm air. Midnight aircon troubleshooting session with the receptionist, who spent 15 minutes “fiddling” with the remote. My reward? A tropical night in Wrocław. The hotel is right across from the train station. Trams, traffic, and honking horns serenaded me all night. The windows might as well have been made of paper. Asked the reception to call me a taxi to get to my conference. They pointed to a business card like it was some ancient artifact and told me to call myself. The service? Nonexistent. They’re basically a money extraction service disguised as a hotel. Final thoughts: I wouldn’t even recommend this place to students pulling all-nighters.

JUST AVOID AVOID AVOID This is dreadful. Do not be mislead into thinking it is cheap...it may appear so but there are lots of better at same price or less. I suspect the 'good' reviews are false. A key warning factor is this is the one of the few hotels on the booking sites that you cannot make a booking with cancellation (even at cost). They take your money and won't let you cancel under any circumstance...including bereavement! Only saving grace is location...but you also have to like noise and drunks. If you are in UK remember you can claim under s74 Consumer Credit Act..just take some pictures...if you feel not of 'mercnhatble quality'. As soon as the credit card companies get a number of claims this hotel will find it difficult to take payments.

Very disappointing stay at Hotel Sofia in Wroclaw. The room we were given was far below acceptable standards, with dirty curtains, a stained mattress, and an unclean bathroom. The view was of a construction site full of trash. Despite raising our concerns with the hotel manager, Maryna, our issues were not resolved, and our requests for a refund were ignored. The photos on their website are very misleading. Poor customer service and hygiene standards. I would not recommend this hotel.

I stayed on 5th floor - room was very clean, bathroom quite new, I was actually suprised how nice room I had for the price I paid. I even had 2 windows in the ceiling. Staff helped with querries if needed and they responded so quick for all my messages which was great! Thanks Location is good as very close to all shops and train station. I was on strict diet so couldnt try the breakfast. The reason why I will not give 5 stars is because I didnt have spoon at all. With my diet and reason of my trip ( important scan next day) I could not stir properly anything I had to eat. I could ask staff for one but I lost my voice so couldnt call reception and couldnt leave the room as part of pre treatment for the scan. Overall: I will definately stay again while in Wroclaw! Thank you
