I stayed 2 nights and had a meeting room there. First night was in the 'Coach House'. Room was freezing so went to do a little work at the bar. One of the power sockets frazzled when I plugged in my laptop so unplugged sharpish. The decor is quite tired and dated. Paint needs attention. Some of the chairs have holes in them so look a bit neglected. The staff were very pleasant and polite. Some knew what they were doing and some need a lot more training. I ordered a pint and a scone and got a a really badly poured one and a stale scone (no cream but that was on the bill). the scones on the bar sat around until the third day but no idea how long they had been there before then. I ordered Prawn Linguini and got tepid packet spaghetti at #19. Pesto had been slung on the top and it was just a mess. The electric in my room tripped on the first morning so had to shower and get ready in the dark. I then had to change room because they said the hotel was full. Car park empty and hardly anyone about? I booked colleagues to stay here and they heard various complaints from them including the poor shower facilities. When you book for colleagues, you feel responsible so I can't consider staying here again which is a shame. The outside area is really appealing. the meeting room was fine and worked well. We ordered a lunch buffet which was very expensive and very, very basic. No drinks, not even water served. The interaction with us as business clients was minimal. Things were put outside our room but no comms from staff. Again, wouldn't book this again with so many less expensive and more efficient options.
